The today's stability of the Kunya valley slopes was assessed in connection with the danger of a landslide formation in the area of the Zagorsk Hydroaccumulate Power Station (Moscow district, Russia). The survey of the geological, geomorphological and hydrogeological conditions had revealed the considerable influence of the paleo-landslides to the today's slope stability. The paleo-landslides developed with in the sides of the pre-Kunya valley, that was overlain by morainic deposits in the middle Pleistocene period. Today's area of the slopes deformation is confined to the area of the relict landslides deposits expansion.
