Nature of the optical information recorded in speckles

Abstract: The process of encoding displacement information in electronic Holographic Interferometry is reviewed. Procedures to extend the applicability of this technique to large deformations are given. The proposed techniques are applied and results from these experiments are compared with results obtained by other means. The similarity between the two sets of results illustrates the validity for the new techniques. !8
