AN EVALUATION OF THE STRYKER 90D PEDICLE SCREW FOR USE AS A REVISION SCREW

The results of this work indicate that the Stryker 90D pedicle screw is a good screw design for use as a revision screw for a wide range of pedicle screw designs. The 90D is within 15% of the strength of the pullout strength of the original screw for all but two screw designs tested. Of the seventeen screw designs tested the two designs in which the Stryker 90D performed poorly as a revision screw were for the Omega 21 and the XIA Titanium.
