By methods of electron microscope, histology and histochemistry, the origin of the spermatophotes of the freshwater crab. Sinopotamon yangtsekiense was described in this paper. The results show that sperm enter anterior vas deferens individually and is distributed randomly in a flocculent component secreted by the cells of the anterior vas deferens. Since the secretion of epithelium in the anterior vas deferens increases and becomes thicker, the sperm oving in the anterior vas deferens fecomes clumped together in masses and is surrounded by a more dense substance. In the end, the sperms were clumped forming spermatophore on the cross sections of both left ad right anterior vas defelens, there is a spermatophore of cylindet which will benter into the seminal vesicle finally. The spermatophor consists of sperm mass. spermatophore matrix and spermatophore wall. The spermatophore is of a single layer thiner wall with medium electron dense and without special structure which si composed of a lot of hgih dense fibrils matrix and flocculent and loayer circles vesicles. The epithelium of single-layer of the vas deferens is divided into high columnar, clum-nar and flat. The epithelial cells are multinucleate and generally with 1approx5 nucler in each. THere are a few nucleolis in each nucleus. The cytoplams contains vast arrays of rough endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complexes and their cisternae of vesicles. The cisternae and vescles contain flocculent and granular material. The free ribosome are everywhere. however mitochondria are less. The anterior vas deferens is the site for spermatophore formationand the seminal vesicle is the storage site of spermatophore.
