Geochemical characteristics of the ore-forming fluid of the Piaotang tungsten deposit in China

Piaotang tungsten deposit is located in the well-known Tungsten Provice, Jiangxi, South China. It is consisted of Muziyuan, Dalongshan and Piaotang districs. There are well-know Xihuashan tungsten deposit and Dangpi tungsten deposit to SW and there are Zongshukeng tungsten deposit to NE, forming a large tungsten belt from SW to NE. The deposits contain a number of tungsten quartz veins occurring in Precambrian lower grade metamorphic rocks and granites of Mesozoic age, which are of magma hypothermal origin and controlled by EW-trending faultsO. Previous work revealed that the granite related to the Piaotang, Xihuashan, Dangping and Zongshukeng tungsten deposits belong to a same large granitic complex covering an area of more than 200km~2, which dips down to NE direction. Previous revealed that the Piaotang deposit is a large type polymetallic of main W-Sn and second-class Mo-Be-Bi-Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag deposit. This paper will give a general picture of the ore-foming fluid obtained by investigation of fluid inclusions in the quartz associated with ore bodies.
