摘要

The deleterious effect of the plastic debris mass in the Great Pacific Ocean is coming to light. We pay close attention to the process about how the plastic debris affects human being in order to arouse people's vigilance before it becomes too serious to deal with.Because of the excessive use of the plastic, the massive amount of the garbage patch will increase, the degradation of the plastic will release toxic chemicals which will go into the human body through the food chain. In this article, our focal point is the process about how the plastic affects human being.A comprehensive model is built to describe the process. The process contains 4 steps, for each step we build a sub-model to describe and evaluate the effects. As to step 1,we build a grey dynamic prediction model to predict the number of plastic produced by human being. The result shows that 180.3 million tons of plastic will be discarded into the ocean until 2015 if no action is taken. Thus it will cause great pollution to the marine ecology system and affects the human being's life.Next,a computer simulation model was carried out to show the formation of the Great Pacific Ocean garbage patch.Because of the effect of the ocean currents, the plastic floating on the surface of the ocean will finally flow into the center of the swift and at last form a garbage patch. We alsocalculate that all of the plastic produced in 2015 will take the nature nearly 61.7 years to purify. Then,in order to study the degradation of the plastic,we use SPSS for the multiple regression analysis and then we can get the results that the average molecular weight of plastic will change under different temperature and different relative humidity with the ultraviolet light (315nm) treatment,Thus we can get the information of the degradation because the rate of the plastic degradation can be evaluated by the average molecular weight. Finally we use the food chain model to evaluate the way about how the plastic affects marine ecology.Of course, our model needs future scientific research in some aspects. From start to finish,we stick to the scientific literatures. The data used in our model all comes from reliable websites source.According to our model,we suggest that the government should take measures to reduce the pollution of the plastic, our study has indicated that the garbage patch is harmful to human being and the marine ecology.
