Satellite-borne InSAR is useful in generating DEMrnglobally. Especially after TanDEM-X interferometerrnstarted its mission in 2010. In this paper, we analyzernthe interferometric geometry in surveying and mappingrnapplication. And we locate main error sources, i.e.,rnphase error and baseline error, using the parametersrnextracted from TanDEM-X interferometer. The phasernerror is suppressed using multi-look iteration. The richrntextures as well as the high phase accuracy are bothrnmaintained through this method. The baseline error isrnreduced by using the long-and-short baselinerncombination method. Finally, we propose to mosaicrnthe ascending and descending DEM according torncoherence values to reduce the low coherent areas.rnExperiments in flat ground, hill and mountain land arernconducted to test the feasibility of the proposedrnmethods. Results demonstrate that TanDEM-X may bernused in high-precision DEM generation.
