摘要

China is a net oil importer and is also the world's largest hard coal producer and possesses huge reserves of all types of coal, so that the cost-effective use of coal for transportation fuels in an environment-friendly manner is justified for China. A lot of attention has been put to coal liquefaction in the recent few years. Following primary liquefaction, separation operations are required for purifying the product. Design of separation equipment requires quantitative data of physical and thermodynamic properties for oil fractions, especially vapor pressure and enthalpy of vaporization. Notably absent from this list is the vaporization enthalpy.
