Method for converting coal into e.g. kerosene, involves converting major fraction of feedstock by direct liquefaction, converting minor fraction of feedstock by indirect liquefaction, and mixing liquid fractions
The method involves converting major fraction of feedstock by direct liquefaction by hydro cracking of portion of a light fraction (24) of hydrocarbons in presence of hydrogen (90) and separation of effluent (20) into liquid fraction (14) containing naphtha, kerosene and/or diesel and heavy fractions. Minor fraction of the feedstock is converted by indirect liquefaction by hydrocracking/hydroisomerization of a portion of effluent of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis in a reactor (10) and by separation of the effluent into liquid fraction and heavy fraction. The liquid fractions are mixed.
