In order to theoretically study the long-term stability of tunnel roof rock from the view of creep properties of rock, the instability criteria of creep acceleration interrelated with time were obtained by theoretically analyzing the improved creep K-B model and simulating the differential equations numerical curve. That revealed the mechanisms and rules of creep instability on the third stage of crock, and provided a new theoretical basis for forecasting the instable failure and tunnel support.
