Due to their special anatomical and physiological features,central nervous system diseases still presented challenges,despite the fact that some advances have been made in early diagnosis and precision medicine.One of the complexities in treating tumors is the tumor microenvironment,which includes mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)that exhibit tumor tropism and can be used for cell therapy.However,whether MSCs promote or suppress gliomas is still unclear,especially in glioma microenvironments.In this study,a coaxial microfiber was designed to mimic the tumor microenvironment and to reveal the effect of MSCs on glioma cells.The fiber shell was composed of MSCs and alginate,and the core was filled with U87 MG(glioblastoma)cells and gelatin methacrylate.This Shell-MSC/Core-U87 MG microenvironment improved the proliferation,survival,invasion,metastasis,and drug resistance of glioma cells,while simultaneously maintaining the stemness of glioma cells.In summary,coaxial extrusion bioprinted Shell-MSC/Core-U87 MG microfiber is an ideal platform for tumor and stromal cell coculture to observe tumor biological behavior in vitro.

2022年4月29日,国际海事组织(IMO)海上安全委员会(MSC)第105届会议闭幕,会议以视频形式召开。本届会议共通过了25份决议和19份通函,其中13份与全球海上遇险与安全系统(GMDSS)现代化设备性能标准和使用相关。会议批准了11个新增工作项目,其中包括中国提议设立的2个工作项目,分别为:(1)修订船上使用塑料管道指南;(2)评估车辆处所、特种处所和滚装处所的防火、探火和灭火布置的充分性,以降低船舶载运新能源车辆的火灾风险。

Pain and lifestyle changes are common consequences of intervertebral disc degeneration(IVDD)and affect a large part of the aging population.The stemness of cells is exploited in the field of regenerative medicine as key to treat degenerative diseases.Transplanted cells however often face delivery and survival challenges,especially in tissues with a naturally harsh microniche environment such as the intervertebral disc.Recent interest in the secretome of stem cells,especially cargo protected from microniche-related decay as frequently present in degenerating tissues,provides new means of rejuvenating ailing cells and tissues.Exosomes,a type of extracellular vesicles with purposeful cargo gained particular interest in conveying stem cell related attributes of rejuvenation,which will be discussed here in the context of IVDD.

Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is a complex neurodevelopmental condition characterized by impairments in social communication,abnormal to absent verbal communication,the presence of repetitive stereotypic verbal and nonverbal behaviors and restricted interests,with onset early in life.We showed cognitive and behavioral characteristics of ASD by impairment of communication,cognition,perception,motor skills,executive function,theory of mind and emotion control.Recently,pathogenesis of immune pathology in the brains of individuals with ASD has been focused.New therapeutic approaches in the viewpoints of immune modulation and microglial function are logical for novel treatments for individuals with ASD.Cell therapies such as umbilical cord blood cells and mesenchymal stromal cells for ASD will be a challenging and encouraging field in the future clinical study with progress of biotechnological science.

过去一年里,地中海航运(MSC)通过收购二手船,获得了约1.5个太平船务的运力。根据劳氏日报的报道,在过去12个月中,MSC已收购超过90艘集装箱船,新增运力360,000TEU。而根据Alphaliner最新公布的数据,目前全球第十二大班轮运营商太平船务的总运力为268,456TEU,这意味着MSC过去一年收购的船舶运力相当于1.5个太平船务!根据全球知名在线船舶估值机构VesselsValue提供的数据,自去年6月以来,MSC共买进84艘二手集装箱船。这84艘船多为老旧的小型集装箱船,劳氏日报分析师认为,“老旧的小型船队仅是短期的摇钱树”。
