    • 摘要: In the electrochemical conversion of carbon dioxide, high currents need to be employed to obtain large production rates, thus implying that mass transport of reactants and products is of crucial importance.This aspect can be investigated by employing a model that depicts the local environment for the reduction reactions. Simultaneously, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, despite being a versatile technique, has rarely been adopted for studying the mass transport features during the carbon dioxide(CO_(2))electroreduction. In this work, this aspect is deeply analyzed by correlating the results of impedance spectroscopy characterization with those obtained by a bubble-induced mass transport modeling under controlled diffusion conditions on a gold rotating disk electrode. The effects of potential and rotation rate on the local environment are also clarified. In particular, it has been found that CO_(2) depletion occurs at high kinetics when the rotation is absent, giving rise to an increment of the competing hydrogen evolution reaction. This feature reflects in an enlargement of the diffusion resistance, which overcomes the charge transport one.

    • 摘要: With the rapid development of information technology,the cyberspace security problem is increasingly serious.Kinds of dynamic defense technology have emerged such as moving target defense and mimic defense.This paper aims to describe the architecture and analyze the performance of Cyberspace Mimic DNS based on generalized stochastic Petri net.We propose a general method of anti-attacking analysis.For general attack and special attack model,the available probability,escaped probability and nonspecial awareness probability are adopted to quantitatively analyze the system performance.And we expand the GSPN model to adjust to engineering practice by specifying randomness of different output vectors.The result shows that the proposed method is effective,and Mimic system has high anti-attacking performance.To deal with the special attack,we can integrate the traditional defense mechanism in engineering practice.Besides,we analyze the performance of mimic DNSframework based on multi-ruling proxy and input-output desperation,the results represent we can use multi ruling or high-speed cache servers to achieve the consistent cost of delay,throughput compared with single authorized DNS,it can effectively solve 10%to 20%performance loss caused by general ruling proxy.

    • 摘要: With an extending life expectancy and demand for medical healthcare,there are wide-spread and stringent requirements of implantable medical devices(IMDs)development for dia-gnostics,treatments,and therapies by emerging technologies.One of the primary targets for the IMDs is evolving a reliable,speed,and accurate communication method to provide proactive well-ness management and thereby achieve early detection,disease prevention,and even treatments.In-tra-body communication(IBC)is a potential technology envisioning a sensors/actuators network within a human body,which uses the conductive properties of a body and is categorized in the standardized IEEE 802.15.06 protocol.In the present review,the current state-of-art of implant in-tra-body communication has been surveyed.Based on the propagation mechanisms over investig-ated IBC spectrum(i.e.,0.1 MHz-100 MHz),the capacitive and galvanic coupling IBC is con-sidered,where the subfields regarding modeling method(including circuit,numerical,analytical,and filter model),measurement details(including the effect of the electrode,cable,impedance,and instrument),clinical application(including cardiac pacemaker and wireless endoscope),transceiver design(including discrete component and CMOS technology)and media access control(MAC)lay-er design have been introduced or discussed.Furthermore,the open challenges and issues have been explored as an anticipated inspiration for future development.

    • 摘要: Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is an important process in Photovoltaic (PV) systems because of the need to extract maximum power from PV panels used in these systems. Without the ability to track and have PV panels operate at its maximum power point (MPP) entails power losses;resulting in high cost since more panels will be required to provide specified energy needs. To achieve high efficiency and low cost, MPPT has therefore become an imperative in PV systems. In this study, an MPP tracker is modeled using the IC algorithm and its behavior under rapidly changing environmental conditions of temperature and irradiation levels is investigated. This algorithm, based on knowledge of the variation of the conductance of PV cells and the operating point with respect to the voltage and current of the panel calculates the slope of the power characteristics to determine the MPP as the peak of the curve. A simple circuit model of the DC-DC boost converter connected to a PV panel is used in the simulation;and the output of the boost converter is fed through a 3-phase inverter to an electricity grid. The model was simulated and tested using MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the IC algorithm for tracking the MPP in PV systems operating under rapidly changing temperatures and irradiations with a settling time of 2 seconds.

    • 摘要: The technique of modeling operating temperature variations of shell-and-tube heat exchanger 10-E-01 of kerosene-crude oil streams of Port Harcourt refinery crude distillation unit is presented in this research. Appropriate first-order model equations were developed applying principles of energy balance. The differential equations developed for the process streams which exchanged heat was evaluated numerically to predict the temperature variations as a function of time. The relevant parameters associated with typical heat exchanger works were calculated using plant data of 10-E-02. The model strives to predict the final kerosene temperature from 488 to 353.6 K. While the crude oil streams temperature rose from 313 to 353.6 K. The developed model enables the operator to predict the final temperature at the kerosene hydro-treating unit and thereby prevent regular emergency shutdowns due to excessive temperature rise.

    • 摘要: Methodological issues associated with the determination of the vertical take-off and landing aerodynamic parameters equipped with two rotary propellers during take-off and hovering, descent and landing are studied in the proposed article. During the computer simulation process, kinematics parameters diagrams were made, aerodynamic coefficients and propellers thrust components at all stages of aircraft take-off were estimated. That numerical data can be used in a preliminary stage of aerodynamic design for the vertical take-off and landing aircraft and electric drones at the determination of control and equalization elements geometric and kinematic parameters.

    • 摘要: Intra-body communication(IBC)is a novel short-range non-RF(radio frequency)wire-less communication technique specified by the IEEE 802.15.6 using the human body as a transmis-sion medium.In this work,a new modeling method of the IBC system based on the composite fad-ing channel is proposed,where the cascaded filter is used to express the composite fading channel and the modulation method in transmitter and receiver.The composite fading channel combines with the average attenuation,group delay,multipath effect,and shadowing effect.The modulation is adopted orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM),and thereby the constellation,cyc-lic prefix,bit error rate,and pilot mode are determined.As a result,the whole process and multi-parameter simulation of IBC system can be achieved.It provides a theoretical foundation for the system design of the intra-body communication and will promote its application to the wireless body area network(WBAN).

    • 摘要: The opening of cracks in RC(reinforced concrete)structures compromises their essential functions,such as their ability to support and protect against aggressive agents.Therefore,durability prescriptions related to the cracking process of the concrete parts can be found.The main objective of this article is to analyze the essential durability requirements for RC presented by fib Model Code 2010,EuroCode 2 and Brazilian Code NBR 6.118 Brazilian Association of Technical Standard(ABNT)including an analytical study of the recommended parameters.To this end,qualitative and quantitative analyses of the normative precepts were carried out with regard to:environmental aggressiveness,concrete strength,cover thickness and crack opening,in a double-supported beam.From the analyses carried out,it was possible to conclude that although the Brazilian standard,apparently,presents some parameters that are less restrictive than the international codes,such as the classification of environmental aggressiveness,its durability estimates are as rigorous as those of international codes that ensure durability.

    • 摘要: Mathematics is a key factor in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), because of its applicability to real situations. To achieve the set goals in SDG, this paper suggests some mathematical methods that will be useful for solving real situations in relation to goals 2 and 12 of SDGs approved by UN when modeled mathematically. The Northwest Corner Method (NWCM), Least Cost Method (LCM), and Vogel Approximation Method (VAM), which are the initial solution methods were examined to ascertain the ideal route of transporting commodities from production facilities to requirement destination while the optimal solution methods involve Stepping Stone Method (SSM), and Modified Distribution Method (MDM), that give the feasible solution which will enhance minimum transportation cost were also thoroughly defined. Subsequent research shall focus on application of the methods in relation to SDGs problems in comparison with other existing methods.

    • 摘要: This work deals with the modeling of the unsteady Newtonian fluid flow associated with an open cylindrical reservoir.This reservoir presents a hole on the right bottom wall.Fluid volume variation,heat and mass transfers are neglected.The unsteady governing equations are based on the conservation of mass and momentum.A finite volume technique is used to solve the non-dimensional equations and related boundary conditions.The algebraic system of equations resulting from the discretization process are solved by means of the THOMAS algorithm.For pressure-velocity coupling,the SIMPLE algorithm(Semi Implicit Method for Pressure Linked Equations)is used.Results for laminar flow(Re<1000),including the pressure and velocities profiles as well as the streamlines in the reservoir are presented.Moreover,the effects of the D/d and H0/D ratios and Reynolds number Re on the fluid flow are discussed.It is shown that the velocities and pressure depend essentially on the reservoir size.To validate the model,the present results have been compared with Zhou et al.’s results,Poiseuille’s and Bernoulli’s exact solution.
