    • 摘要: 本文基于驻波理论推导出驻波方程,然后给出介质内驻波场中的能量密度。同时借助弦振动实验,推出了不同条件下弦上驻波的方程,并利用Mathematica软件对不同条件下弦上驻波的形成进行了模拟。电学中的交流电、电磁波等物理性质可与驻波特性进行类比和对比,因此在教学中能起到触类旁通的作用,从而加深学生对电学中驻波理论的认识并进一步应用于电子电气工程技术中。

    • 摘要: Oscillations due to three different forces in three areas of physics: electrostatic, nuclear, and mechanics, are analyzed. The electrostatic long-range Coulomb force has a different character than the nucleonic short-range Yukawa force. Both are different from the linear Hooke’s force. The equation of motion of each case is solved applying a Computer Algebra System (CAS). It is shown that these oscillations have similarities and differences. Phase diagrams of all three cases are compared.

    • 摘要: Utilizing Mathematica this report shows how from a practitioner’s point of view useful quantities some known, and some unknown and fresh properties about the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution are calculated. We shortcut circling the usage of antiquated incomplete tabulated error functions given in the textbooks and professional literature replacing them with efficient upgrades. And, utilizing the animation features of Mathematica displaying the temperature-dependence of the distribution function assists in visualizing the character of the distribution.

    • 摘要: Frequencies of the repeated integers of the first n digits of e.g. π utilizing commercial software are listed. The discrete distribution is utilized to evaluate its statistical moments. The distribution is fitted with a polynomial generating a continuous replica of the former. Its statistical moments are evaluated and compared to the former. The procedure clarifies the mechanism transiting from discrete to a continuous domain. Applying Mathematica the fitted polynomial is replaced with an interpolated function with controlled smoothing factor refining the quality of the fit and its corresponding moments. Knowledge learned assists in the understanding of the standard procedure calculating moments of e.g. Maxwell-Boltzmann continuous distribution in kinetic Theory of gases.

    • 摘要: 基础工程学的计算公式复杂、计算步骤烦琐;传统的教学方法极大地影响了教学效果和学生对课程学习的积极性。基于此,将Mathematica软件引入到基础工程学的教学改革中,以传统试算法求解浅基础的基础底面尺寸的不确定性问题为例,利用Mathematica编程计算了不同地基土类型时的基底宽度与荷载的关系,解决了传统教学法中存在的不足。此外,还利用Mathematica绘图法得到基础宽度,同时也简化了解析法计算中一元三次方程和不等式的求解过程。

    • 摘要: We envision utilizing the versatility of a Computer Algebra System, specifically Mathematica to explore designing physics problems. As a focused project, we consider for instance a thermo-mechanical-physics problem showing its development from the ground up. Following the objectives of this investigation first by applying the fundamentals of physics principles we solve the problem symbolically. Applying the solution we investigate the sensitivities of the quantities of interest for various scenarios generating feasible numeric parameters. Although a physics problem is investigated, the proposed methodology may as well be applied to other scientific fields. The codes needed for this particular project are included enabling the interested reader to duplicate the results, extend and modify them as needed to explore various extended scenarios.

    • 摘要: In this report, two nontraditional mechanical wave-related issues are addressed. 1) Customary, for practical reasons the characteristics of the sinusoidal pulses progressing at a constant speed only is considered. And 2) the literature search shows that there has been no interest in exploring the characteristics of the pulses in a curvilinear two-dimensional space. By relaxing the first restriction we consider a scenario that which a mechanical pulse progresses with variable speed, specifically at a constant acceleration. We develop its equation of motion conducive to a homogenous linear partial differential equation with variable coefficients then we apply it to a practical problem. To address the 2nd point we depict a circular orbital embodying two Gaussian pulses circulating in opposite directions. Utilizing a Computer Algebra System (CAS), Mathematica, we develop animations visually easing the comprehension of the issues on hand.

    • 摘要: 光学是研究光的行为和性质的科学。光学实验教学是本科物理教学的重要组成部分。如何在有限光学实验条件下获得更好教学效果,是一个非常值得关注的问题。文章结合具体实例介绍mathematica在光学实验教学中的应用,利用程序代码展示实验原理中的核心内容,利用输出的图像结果直观地展示实验现象,利用manipulate交互式操作命令详细地展示实验现象随参数的变化情况,以辅助提高教学效果。

    • 摘要: 针对材料力学梁的弯曲问题,应用奇异函数法,将不连续的载荷写成统一的载荷函数,通过积分和代入边界条件求解剪力、弯矩、转角和挠度,并通过多个实例的计算进行验证。在详细阐述奇异函数法演算过程的基础上,应用Mathematica实现了奇异函数法算法,并绘制了弯曲问题的剪力、弯矩、转角和挠度等图形。Mathematica程序加以适当扩展,能够解决材料力学中各类问题的计算,对提高材料力学的教学能力和教学研究有着一定参考意义。
