摘要： Inlet and outlet orifices in an actuation chamber are sources through which the supply and exhaust pressures pass during the actuation process in clutch systems. They are key ingredients in an actuation chamber and are very phenomenal in heavy-duty vehicle operation. It is these pressures that initiate linear or rotary motions in drive systems. The pressure actions are processed in an enclosure termed an actuation chamber. Oftentimes, the forces or pressures produced in an actuation chamber are unknown and immeasurable owing to a lack of precise instruments to accomplish them. This challenge can only be approached via an improvised technique that requires experimentation. This is precisely what this presentation is all about. The knowledge of these parameters is important in the study of the actuation process in electro-pneumatic clutch systems of heavy-duty vehicles. The study was done with a Mercedes Benz Actros Truck Model MP 2, 2031 Actuator chamber. An empirical and analytical approach was adopted. Meter rule, Venire Callipers and Mass Spring Balance were deployed for the experiments. Piston coil or spring, clutch distance in the actuator, the cross-sectional diameter of the actuator, and displacement in the free lengths of the coils among others were measured. The results of the experiments were analysed and used to determine the values of the supply (inlet) and exhaust (outlet) pressures which results stood at 9.61 bars and 11.299 bars, respectively.

摘要： By sending one or more telescopes into space,Space-VLBI(SVLBI)is able to achieve even higher angular resolution and is therefore the trend of the VLBI technique.For the SVLBI program,the design of satellite orbits plays an important role for the success of planned observation.In this paper,we present our orbit optimization scheme,so as to facilitate the design of satellite orbits for SVLBI observation.To achieve that,we characterize the uv coverage with a measure index and minimize it by finding out the corresponding orbit configuration.In this way,the design of satellite orbit is converted to an optimization problem.We can prove that,with an appropriate global minimization method,the best orbit configuration can be found within the reasonable time.Besides that,we demonstrate that this scheme can be used for the scheduling of SVLBI observations.

摘要： We herein report on a case in which magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) following carotid endarterectomy revealed the appearance of angiostenosis due to an artifact of metallic powder, which was thought to have come from an old surgical instrument. The patient was a 77-year-old male. Carotid endarterectomy (CEA) was performed for stenosis in the internal carotid artery of his left neck (82%). Upon observing a decline in renal function following CEA surgery, a postoperative cervical MRA revealed the appearance of high-grade stenosis at the common carotid artery on which surgery was performed. No stenosis was revealed upon carotid ultrasonography and angiography. In the original MRA image, an orbicular low intensity area was observed in concordance with the narrow segment. 3D computed tomography (3D-CT) revealed a metallic finding, suggesting it was an artifact caused by metal powder. Close inspection of the metal surgical instruments used during surgery revealed slight damage to a suture snare which had been used for 30 years. Going forward, it is necessary to pay attention to old surgical instruments, introduce a system by which the number of years and the frequency of use of each surgical instrument can be learned, and replace them with new equipment as necessary.

摘要： This paper introduces the online Sociometrics Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences Library, an exciting new science-based resource for HIV/AIDS researchers, health educators, and clinicians. The over 400 products in the Sociometrics Library supplement the online publications—journal articles, books, reports, monographs—that have been the focus of scientific research libraries and publishers to date, both printed and online. Examples of the innovative science-based products that serve as the library’s content include: Evidence-based interventions and programs (EBIs/EBPs) that evaluation research has shown to be effective in preventing HIV or its risky social and behavioral antecedents;primary research data and survey instruments;and interactive, multimedia training tools and courses to build HIV professionals’ capacity to implement EBPs with fidelity and to cooperate with evaluators in the assessment of their effectiveness. A Scientist Expert Panel has guided and will continue to guide product selection and acquisition, ensuring the collection’s continuing technical merit, research utility, and relevance for practice and policy. The Sociometrics Library aims to become the dominant online source of behavioral and social science-based HIV research by-products, operationally sustainable and able to stay up-to-date both from a technological and scientific perspective.
