摘要:
The aim of the article is to examine the role of the Yogyakarta Principles in the new era of globalization. The Principles could be assimilated for their modesty and multiple points of entry in the global system. However, they have not necessarily created formal protections for sexual minorities that keep being abused globally because conservative elites share goals and tactics among themselves to repress these minorities.

摘要:
The article aims to understand the language management taking place in the Special Economic Zone of Punjab(China-Pakistan Economic Corridor-CPEC).It incorporates data from both local and Chinese employees. The importance of multi-culture setting at workplace is addressed in this study by incorporating the impact of globalization.Respondents were selected by using random stratified sampling method.Primary data were gathered using multiple research tools;questionnaires,in-depth interviews, observations, and focus group discussions.Findings suggested that Urdu is still the most preferred language followed by English for official purposes or Punjabi for informal communication among lower management.Mandarin still needs to make its place in the Pakistani multi-culture context.Top management from both sides has adopted a positive stance and is willingly accepting a different culture.Chinese employees are even trying to learn Urdu.Use of translators and applications to reduce language barriers is increasing.

摘要:
The massive Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 will have unforeseeable effects on the themes addressed here, from international regime change to infra-structural re-orientation to value changes. Here we concentrate on the positive cycle of effects globalization has brought about before the new war in Europe, mainly economic growth and(some)pressures for democratic development,as well as the negative cycle that originates in(relative)economic decline, elite dissent, even failed states and regime change, often in the direction of counter-democracy.The causal links between 13 independent and intervening variables and public goods as the dependent variable are specified in this explanatory sketch. There is need for broadening the view in explaining causal paths between globalization factors and the production of public goods. In doing that we focus in particular on variables like elite dissent, immigration, and new minorities, all three weakening the capacities of states to respond.Further we state that all four:ecological challenges, economic and social inequality and polarization, regime change, and international terrorism can be viewed as to their joint effects on the production of public goods.Selectorate theory is crucial. It explains political regimes on the base of the size of the selectorate with large(s)electorates producing public goods,as in democracies, and small ones only private ones,as in sultanist regimes and dictatorships.

摘要:
This book review provides a multi-dimensional discussion on how the text(two editions)delivers not only factual information regarding European economic history, but focuses on the relevance and constructive uses of economic concepts, theories, and statistical analyses on issues regarding industrial economics. One major concern within industrial economics is the failure to recognize past experiences(the importance of history).Accordingly, the book contains a considerable amount of discussion about the problems and changes in the history of economic distribution associated with specific locations of economic activities, income, resources, production, international economic integration, and spatial economic activities in Europe.Furthermore, economic issues related to the international relationship between Europe and some developing countries are also elaborated. This book review serves as more than a summary:it highlights several intellectual and research-oriented aspects of the book that may benefit studies of economic industrialization and the humanities and social sciences more broadly. In particular, several aspects are evaluated, suggesting the extent of its comprehensiveness and the important data provided in the book. Finally, certain differences observed between the first and second editions of the book are also acknowledged and explained.

摘要:
Simultaneous with the rise of trade protectionism in the twenty-first century has been a resurgence in nationalist politics, most notably in the USA,the UK,and parts of the EU.These developments in international and US trade policy, including Washington’s launch of a full-fledged trade war against China in March 2018,have converged disastrously with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in November 2019 and the onset of a worldwide pandemic.Given the status of the USA as the world’s hegemon since 1945,what is new here is the effort of the Trump administration to abdicate US leadership,-jettison longstanding alliances, and turn back the clock on the country’s close integration with the world economy.Already, greatly reduced flows of goods, services, and people have translated into radically reduced global growth, widespread business disruptions, and high unemployment.Remarkably, the White House has refused to recognize the severity of the pandemic and has undermined the precautions of the US science community. We argue that these multiple shocks constitute a major critical juncture on par with what the world community faced in 1945.However,in the twenty-first century we have seen that high levels of economic uncertainty and political instability have superseded the long-held notion that international interdependence would pull the world community through tough times such as these.Could the triple whammy of a destructive trade war, deadly pandemic, and secular decfine of US leadership trigger a new generation of policy innovation and institution building on par with the post-1945 era?In terms of the global trade regime,it would be difficult to imagine a buoyant recovery of the world economy in the absence of a serious reckoning with the pattern of norm erosion that we identify here.

摘要:
This article tries to examine the strong role of individuals in today’s society despite the re-entrenchment of state sovereignty in international relations.Individuals control systems through various forms of interactions taking place across national borders. The main thesis is that in the age of globalization, with multi-actors on a chessboard, actions of citizens belonging to particular national contexts cross state boundaries through various forms of social integration,in which multinational actors play decisive roles. In the first part,a brief discussion on conceptions and actors by emphasizing the role of action, system, and structure will be given. Then, interdependent power relations will be discussed.Giddens’“duality of structure and action”theory in connection with the capital-state framework takes a position in the nature of power relations between states and individuals within the new political and economic realities of today’s world.

摘要:
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO).In a relatively short period, the SCO has become one of the most influential multilateral structures in Eurasia. The formation of the SCO was influenced by fundamental changes in international relations at the end of the twentieth century.Among them were the end of the Cold War and the transformation of the global balance of power, the emergence of a new geopolitical situation in Eurasia and the formation of new regional centers of power, the changing attitude of the world community toward traditional threats, the intensification of terrorism, extremism, and separatist movements, and the processes of globalization and regionalism.

摘要:
The era of the AEC(ASEAN Economic Community)is an era of regional globalization, and this needs to be examined carefully in the world of education in Indonesia so that Indonesia’s HRs(Human Resources)are ready to face increasingly fierce competition with other countries. In this regard,it is necessary to lead a culture-based education leader at the school level to produce quality education that is able to produce students who have personality integrity, disciplined attitude, and are creative, innovative, and competitive.Education in ASEAN countries has now entered the era of globalization, where one of them is marked by the ease in which people get information from various parts of the world as a result of rapid technological developments. This has both positive and negative influences on those who receive it.The positive influence of globalization on changes in values and attitudes causes a shift in values and attitudes of all irrational people to be rational while the negative influence of globalization on society is that people feel facilitated with advanced technology that makes them feel they no longer need others in their activities, where sometimes they forget that they are social beings who need to interact with one another.
