    • 摘要: Sepsis is a life-threatening condition and a global disease burden.Heterogeneous syndrome is defined as severe organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection,with renewed emphasis on the immune pathophysiology.Researchers worldwide constantly update the diagnostic criteria of sepsis and have introduced concepts such as“sepsis-3”“Surviving Sepsis Campaign(SSC)”“Early Goal-Directed Therapy(EGDT)”,the 3-h and 6-h bundles to an hour-1 bundle[1],“limited ventilation”“the best PEEP[2]”,and“Lung Protective-Ventilation”.Despite all efforts of experimental and clinical research during the last three decades,the ability to positively influence the course and outcome of the syndrome remains limited.

    • 摘要: Due to limited depth-of-field of digital single-lens reflex cameras,the scene content within a limited distance from the imaging plane remains in focus while other objects closer to or further away from the point of focus appear as blurred(out-of-focus)in the image.Multi-Focus Image Fusion can be used to reconstruct a fully focused image from two or more partially focused images of the same scene.In this paper,a new Fuzzy Based Hybrid Focus Measure(FBHFM)for multi-focus image fusion has been proposed.Optimal block size is very critical step for multi-focus image fusion.Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm has been used to find optimal size of the block of the images for extraction of focus measure features.After finding optimal blocks,three focus measures Sum of Modified Laplacian,Gray Level Variance and Contrast Visibility has been extracted and combined these focus measures by using intelligent fuzzy technique.Fuzzy based hybrid intelligent focus values were estimated using contrast visibility measure to generate focused image.Different sets of multi-focus images have been used in detailed experimentation and compared the results with state-of-the-art existing techniques such as Genetic Algorithm(GA),Principal Component Analysis(PCA),Laplacian Pyramid discrete wavelet transform(DWT),and aDWT for image fusion.It has been found that proposed method performs well as compare to existing methods.

    • 摘要: The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the entire globe on all fronts,and vector-borne diseases are not an exception.There are certain similarities between dengue and COVID-19 since both diseases are positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus and have animal origin linkages.Interestingly,both the diseases present over 80%asymptomatic cases.Dengue is the most prevalent and fast-emerging viral infection worldwide.The dengue virus(DENV)has four serotypes,namely DENV-1,DENV-2,DENV-3 and DENV-4,and it is possible that the same person can be infected four times before full immunity is established[1];whereas,COVID-19 is an air-borne respiratory disease caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2,and several variants have emerged over time.In late 2020,the variants posed an increased risk to global public health emergency,which prompted the characterisation of specific Variants of Interest and Variants of Concern to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic[2].DENV is transmitted by several species of day-biting Aedes mosquitoes.They are highly adaptive and invasive species and are predominantly found in the tropical and subtropical regions.In recent decades,these mosquitoes have been discovered in all continents except Antarctica.Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus are two major vectors of dengue.This means wherever these mosquitoes make their footprints,dengue creeps in.
