    • 摘要: An experimental unit was built which was located in the vicinity of the domestic wastewater treatment plant of the Municipality of San Marcos in the Department of Carazo. Said unit consisted of two welded metal barrels with a total height of 1.8 m and a diameter of 0.90 m, likewise, this unit comprised three functional zones;the first or input area composed of a collection unit, a driving unit, a flow control unit, and two distribution units;the second or packed zone, which is the axis of the system because it is there where bacterial growth takes place and where the removal of organic matter takes place;and an outlet composed of PVC pipe [1]. The main objective of this work was to determine how efficient a rocky filter turns out to be, using stabilization pond effluent as a post-treatment unit using red concrete as a filter medium. The study consisted in carrying out laboratory tests on water samples taken from the influent and effluent of a filter made up of red rock, as a filter medium, in order to determine the percentage of organic matter removal efficiency that it has used a hydraulic retention time of 19 hours, 15 hours, and 12 hours [2]. Among the aspects to be considered in the experimental study was the characterization of the effluent from the treatment system of San Marco, Carazo, to determine the quality of water that will be of interest to the study [3]. In this stage, four composite samplings were carried out, two of 12 hours and two of 24 hours, in which physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters were analyzed. Likewise, to determine the efficiency of the filter, the same parameters considered in the characterization of the lagoon effluent were analyzed, obtaining removal efficiencies of up to 55.53% in organic matter, and 64.60% in suspended solids for a hydraulic retention time of 19 hours;In the same way, the efficiency of the filter was carried out for retention times of 15 hours and 12 hours, in which organic matter removals of 67.84% and 56.59% and 82.77% and 77.51% in total suspended solids were found, respectively.

    • 摘要: Context: Medical imaging has a wide range of applications in today’s society. Basic projectional radiography, CT scans, mammograms and a range of other advanced technologies all use x-rays to create a large number of examinations every day across the world. The most essential component of such medical equipment is the x-ray tube, which creates and produces x-rays. Objective: We describe and investigate an abstract model-geometry of a simple x-ray tube utilizing the open-source software package of BEAMnrc of the EGSnrcmp family, which is well validated by several studies over the years, for high and low energy photons generation. Methodology: Our research focuses on two different electron beam energies: 120 keV and 30 keV. The 120 keV is the typical energy for simple projectional radiographic exams and CT examinations, whereas the 30 keV is the typical energy of mammography. Results: Two different anode materials are used for each case, Gold (Au) and Tungsten (W) for 120 keV because these are the most common in projectional radiography and CT;Molybdenum (Mo) and Rhodium (Rh) for 30 keV because with these targets most mammography exams are carried out. The aim of this work is to show how the BEAMnrc software package can simulate effectively x-ray generation of low-energy photons which are utilized in modern medical imaging procedures. We describe useful information on anode-target characteristics, such as anode angle, anode material, and metal filter materials, based on previous quality studies even by using software other than BEAMnrc. Conclusion: We demonstrate that BEAMnrc can be efficiently used for Monte Carlo modeling of low-energy photons.

    • 摘要: Topological photonics have led to robust optical behavior of optical devices, which has alleviated the influence of manufacturing defects and perturbations on the device performance. Meanwhile, temporal coupled-mode theory(t-CMT) has been developed and applied widely. However, the t-CMT of cascaded coupled cavities(CCC) system and its corresponding high-order filter has yet to be established. Here, the t-CMT of CCC system is established based on the existing t-CMT. By combining the CCC with topological waveguides, a versatile design scheme of high-order nonreciprocal add-drop filter(HONAF) is proposed. The relationship between the coupling effect of cavities and transmission and the filtering performance of HONAF is analyzed quantitatively. Then, a method to improve the transmission efficiency and quality factor of the filter is given. The proposed HONAF is based on the combination of gyromagnetic photonic crystals and decagonal Penrose-type photonic quasicrystals. The transmission and filtering performance of the HONAF are numerically analyzed, which verifies the consistency between theoretical prediction and numerical simulation. The established t-CMT of CCC system can be widely used in coupled resonator optical waveguides and their related systems. The proposed HONAF with excellent performance can also be applied to wavelength division multiplexing/demultiplexing systems.

    • 摘要: This paper presents a comparison of the results obtained from the integration of the photovoltaic system to the electrical grid through the Active Power Filter.The innovative aspect of this article consists of the elaboration of 4 models in Matlab/Simulink for 4 methods of control of the Active Power Filter introduced between the photovoltaic system and the alternating current grid and the highlighting of the performances obtained regarding the quality and quantity of electricity transferred for each control method in part.Following the analysis of the results,it was found that by using the Indirect Control(CI)method of the Active Power Filter,the best results are obtained THDu=3.24%,THDi=2.46%if the photovoltaic system produces a larger amount of energy than the nonlinear load,and by using the methods of control of the Active Power Filter Synchronous Reference Frame(DQ)and Instantaneous Power(PQ)the best results are obtained:THDu=3.22%,THDi=5.26%for the method(DQ)and THDu=3.41%,THDi=5.17%for the method(PQ)if the photovoltaic system produces a smaller amount of energy than the nonlinear load.

    • 摘要: Purpose:The purpose of this study is to report a single center experience with portable digital radiographically(DR)guided bedside IVC filters placed in intensive care unit(ICU)patients with high ICP and elevated head of bed(HOB).Materials and methods:A retrospective chart review was conducted on all bedside IVC filters placed from January 1,2010 to September 16,2020.Patients with high ICP and elevated head of bed requirements were included.Charts were reviewed for filter type,common femoral vein(CFV)access,filter location,pre procedure imaging,pre and post filter ICPs,glascow coma scale,number of radiographs taken,and filter removal.ICPs were obtained 1 h prior to procedure and 2 h post procedure and analyzed with a paired T test.Filters were placed by reviewing prior CT scan for IVC size,caval variants,renal and iliac veins and vertebral body landmarks.Then,CFV access was obtained and a Bentson wire was advanced 30-40 cm.A radiograph was used to confirm adequate position of the of the wire.The filter sheath was advanced and serial radiographs were used to position the filter sheath at the final predetermined position below the renal veins and above the iliac bifurcation.The filter was deployed,and a radiograph was obtained to confirm filter positioning.Results:A total of 9 DR guided bedside IVC filters were placed(4 Denali,3 Option Elite,2 Celect).Indications included prophylactic placement(n=8)and acute DVT(n=1).The average patient age was 35.8 years(range:18-56 years)CT abdomen and pelvis was used to assess for the level of renal veins in all patients(n=9).No caval variants were encountered on pre-procedural planning.The average pre,intraprocedural,and post procedure intracranial pressure was 16 mmHg,13 mmHg,and 16 mmHg,respectively.Confirmation of placement after final placement was available in 7 patients(4 DR,2 CT and one fluoroscopic examination).Two non-procedural related deaths occurred.Technical success,defined as successful placement of IVC filter at the predetermined level,was achieved in 100%of patients(n=9).The right CFV was used in most patients(n=7).The left CFV was used for access in two patients due to right CFV thrombus(n=1)and existing right femoral venous central line(n=1).The average number of radiographs taken was 5.8(range 4-9).In all cases,filters were placed below the level of the lowest renal vein(n=9).A comparison of pre,during and post intervention ICP pressures is shown in table,2.No differences between pre and post filter ICP was noted(p=0.77).Three filters were later removed.One minor complication was reported,which was filter tilt(23%)in an Option filter.Conclusion:Bedside IVC filters can be safely placed in patients with head trauma and high ICP who are unable to lay supine using portable DR guidance with a high rate of technical success and minimal complications.

    • 摘要: The problem of excessive radiated emission for a certain type of laser scanner is discussed in this paper.Firstly,the frequency characteristics of the laser scanner can be obtained by traditional test methods.According to the frequency and electronic equipment characteristics,the interference source can be estimated and established.Then based upon analysis,modified methods are proposed.By applying the above methods,the interference source can be identified and the amount of radiated emission from the scanner can be reduced effectively.Finally,the scanner can op erate in a compatible manner with other electronic systems at the same time.The above methods can provide a reference for electronic equipment design ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and passing the radiated emission test.
