    • 摘要: The Local Monte Carlo(LMC)method is used to solve the problems of deep penetration and long time in the neutronics calculation of the radial neutron camera(RNC)diagnostic system on the experimental advanced superconducting tokamak(EAST),and the radiation distribution of the RNC and the neutron flux at the detector positions of each channel are obtained.Compared with the results calculated by the global variance reduction method,it is shown that the LMC calculation is reliable within the reasonable error range.The calculation process of LMC is analyzed in detail,and the transport process of radiation particles is simulated in two steps.In the first step,an integrated neutronics model considering the complex window environment and a neutron source model based on EAST plasma shape are used to support the calculation.The particle information on the equivalent surface is analyzed to evaluate the rationality of settings of equivalent surface source and boundary.Based on the characteristic that only a local geometric model is needed in the second step,it is shown that the LMC is an advantageous calculation method for the nuclear shielding design of tokamak diagnostic systems.

    • 摘要: The neutron count rate fluctuation reaches six orders of magnitude between the ohmic plasma scenario and high power of auxiliary heating on an experimental advanced superconducting tokamak(EAST).The measurement result of neutron flux monitoring(NFM)is a significant feedback parameter related to the acquisition of radiation protection-related information and rapid fluctuations in neutron emission induced by plasma magnetohydrodynamic activity.Therefore,a wide range and high time resolution are required for the NFM system on EAST.To satisfy these requirements,a digital pulse signal acquisition and processing system with a wide dynamic range and fast response time was developed.The present study was conducted using a field-programmable gate array(FPGA)and peripheral component interconnect extension for instrument express(PXIe)platform.The digital dual measurement modes,which are composed of the pulse-counting mode and AC coupled square integral's Campbelling mode,were designed to expand the measurement range of the signal acquisition and processing system.The time resolution of the signal acquisition and processing system was improved from 10 to 1 ms owing to utilizing highspeed analog-to-digital converters(ADCs),a high-speed PXIe communication with a direct memory access(DMA)mode,and online data preprocessing technology of FPGA.The signal acquisition and processing system was tested experimentally in the EAST radiation field.The test results showed that the time resolution of NFM was improved to 1 ms,and the dynamic range of the neutron counts rate was expanded to more than 10^(6) counts per second.The Campbelling mode was calibrated using a multipoint average linear fitting method;subsequently,the fitting coefficient reached 0.9911.Therefore,the newly developed pulse signal acquisition and processing system ensures that the NFM system meets the requirements of high-parameter experiments conducted on EAST more effectively.

    • 摘要: The Ion Cyclotron Radio Frequency(ICRF)heating antenna on EAST adopts a decoupling device to constrain power coupling among the radiation straps,which was discovered shortcomings such as long size,poor contact,and etc.In order to improve these weak points,a new type decoupler with terminal-loaded tunable capacitor is designed to replace the previous design.Besides the capability of the tunable admittance parameters of decoupler,the withstand voltage of the capacitor is the most significant consideration for working under high power.Therefore,the theoretical analysis carefully elaborates the capacitor withstand voltage,and the detailed analytical equations and criteria for design are given.After the comparative analysis of theoretical calculation and 3D simulation results,the decoupler design scheme is finalized.The capacitor-loaded decoupler has been successfully adopted for ICRF antenna at port N on EAST,and achieved the optimization of adjacent port isolation from-22 to-58 dB at 37 MHz without plasma to restrict mutual coupling.The new design of the decoupler has greatly improved its compactness and automatic adjustment performance,and could be good solution for the decoupling network of ICRF antennas.

    • 摘要: Along with anthropogenic global warming,the Northern Hemisphere(NH)has experienced more frequent cold air out-breaks and heavy snowfalls in recent decades(Petoukhov and Semenov,2010;Liu et al.,2012;Cohen et al.,2014;2020;Overland et al.,2015).The most recent example of extreme winter weather was the extreme cold events that occurred from East Asia to North America during the winter of 2020/21(Cohen et al.,2021;Zheng et al.,2022a).

    • 摘要: The extraordinary mode(X-mode)lower cut-off frequency is proposed for use in the reflectometry diagnostic on ITER for the electron density profile measurement,which is a trade-off between extreme plasma parameters and the accessible probing frequency.In contemporary experiments,the lower cutoff frequency can be identified at the probing frequency below the electron cyclotron frequency(f_(ce)) under certain plasma conditions.We provide here,for the first time,the experimental validation of the use of the lower cut-off frequency for the density profiles via the reflectometry measurement on EAST.The corresponding group delay of the lower cut-off frequency evolves continuously with the upper one,revealing a reasonable radial coverage extension of reflectometry measurement toward the plasma core.It is concluded that the lower cut-off frequency can be used as a supplement to the upper one in the density profile inversion process,which is of particular interest in the high magnetic field and/or density discharge to extend the radial coverage of reflectometry measurement.

    • 摘要: Detachment in helium(He)discharges has been achieved in the EAST superconducting tokamak equipped with an ITER-like tungsten divertor.This paper presents the experimental observations of divertor detachment achieved by increasing the plasma density in He discharges.During density ramp-up,the particle flux shows a clear rollover,while the electron temperature around the outer strike point is decreasing simultaneously.The divertor detachment also exhibits a significant difference from that observed in comparable deuterium(D)discharges.The density threshold of detachment in the He plasma is higher than that in the D plasma for the same heating power,and increases with the heating power.Moreover,detachment assisted with neon(Ne)seeding was also performed in L-and H-mode plasmas,pointing to the direction for reducing the density threshold of detachment in He operation.However,excessive Ne seeding causes confinement degradation during the divertor detachment phase.The precise feedback control of impurity seeding will be performed in EAST to improve the compatibility of core plasma performance with divertor detachment for future high heating power operations.

    • 摘要: Lithium Beam Emission Spectroscopy systems in the outer midplane and divertor Langmuir probe arrays embedded in the divertor target plates,are utilized to investigate the scrape-off layer(SOL)blob transition and its relation with divertor detachment on EAST.The blob transition in the near SOL is observed during the density ramp-up phase.When the plasma density,normalized to the Greenwald density limit,exceeds a threshold of f_(GW)~0.5,the blob size and lifetime increases by 2–3 times,while the blob detection rate decreases by about 2 times.In addition,a weak density shoulder is observed in the near SOL region at the same density threshold.Further analysis indicates that the divertor detachment is highly correlated with the blob transition,and the density threshold of blob transition is consistent with that of the access to the outer divertor detachment.The potential physical mechanisms are discussed.These results could be useful for the understanding of plasma-wall interaction issues in future devices that will operate under a detached divertor and high density conditions(over the blob transition threshold).

    • 摘要: 工程数据监控分析对于全超导托卡马克装置EAST的安全运行分析至关重要,随着工程信号数据规模的增大以及各子系统之间数据多源异构问题的凸显,导致数据孤岛出现,不利于对工程数据进行深入实验分析和装置安全保护。该文根据工程信号的数据特点和实际应用场景,创新性的使用基于超级表结构的列存储模型,通过单采集点单表的形式存储聚变工程数据。使用TDengine和Flink流式处理建立了面向工程信号分析监控的数据仓库,有效地整合工程信号数据并满足聚变实验多维度分析需求,极大地降低存储空间成本和提高检索效率。使用Grafana提供易用灵活的可视化模块和多样的监控报警规则,帮助实验人员对工程信号有更深入的探索分析。
