Objective:Drug repurposing,the application of existing therapeutics to new indications,holds promise in achieving rapid clinical effects at a much lower cost than that of de novo drug development.The aim of our study was to perform a more comprehensive drug repurposing prediction of diseases,particularly cancers.Methods:Here,by targeting 4,096 human diseases,including 384 cancers,we propose a greedy computational model based on a heterogeneous multilayer network for the repurposing of 1,419 existing drugs in Drug Bank.We performed additional experimental validation for the dominant repurposed drugs in cancer.Results:The overall performance of the model was well supported by cross-validation and literature mining.Focusing on the top-ranked repurposed drugs in cancers,we verified the anticancer effects of 5 repurposed drugs widely used clinically in drug sensitivity experiments.Because of the distinctive antitumor effects of nifedipine(an antihypertensive agent)and nortriptyline(an antidepressant drug)in prostate cancer,we further explored their underlying mechanisms by using quantitative proteomics.Our analysis revealed that both nifedipine and nortriptyline affected the cancer-related pathways of DNA replication,the cell cycle,and RNA transport.Moreover,in vivo experiments demonstrated that nifedipine and nortriptyline significantly inhibited the growth of prostate tumors in a xenograft model.Conclusions:Our predicted results,which have been released in a public database named The Predictive Database for Drug Repurposing(PAD),provide an informative resource for discovering and ranking drugs that may potentially be repurposed for cancer treatment and determining new therapeutic effects of existing drugs.

In this study,we examine the cross-view gait recognition problem.Many existing methods establish global feature representation based on the whole human body shape.However,they ignore some important details of different parts of the human body.In the latest literature,positioning partial regions to learn fine-grained features has been verified to be effective in human identification.But they only consider coarse fine-grained fea-tures and ignore the relationship between neighboring regions.Taken the above insights together,we propose a novel model called GaitGP,which learns both important details through fine-grained features and the relationship between neighboring regions through global features.Our GaitGP model mainly consists of the following two aspects.First,we propose a Channel-Attention Feature Extractor(CAFE)to extract the global features,which aggregates the channel-level attention to enhance the spatial information in a novel convolutional component.Second,we present the Global and Partial Feature Combiner(GPFC)to learn different fine-grained features,and combine them with the global fea-tures extracted by the CAFE to obtain the relevant information between neighboring regions.Experimental results on the CASIA gait recognition dataset B(CASIA-B),The OU-ISIR gait database,multi-view large population dataset,and The OU-ISIR gait database gait datasets show that our method is superior to the state-of-the-art cross-view gait recognition methods.

Load balancing is a technique for identifying overloaded and underloaded nodes and balancing the load between them.To maximize various performance parameters in cloud computing,researchers suggested various load balancing approaches.To store and access data and services provided by the different service providers through the network over different regions,cloud computing is one of the latest technology systems for both end-users and service providers.The volume of data is increasing due to the pandemic and a significant increase in usage of the internet has also been experienced.Users of the cloud are looking for services that are intelligent,and,can balance the traffic load by service providers,resulting in seamless and uninterrupted services.Different types of algorithms and techniques are available that can manage the load balancing in the cloud services.In this paper,a newly proposed method for load balancing in cloud computing at the database level is introduced.The database cloud services are frequently employed by companies of all sizes,for application development and business process.Load balancing for distributed applications can be used to maintain an efficient task scheduling process that also meets the user requirements and improves resource utilization.Load balancing is the process of distributing the load on various nodes to ensure that no single node is overloaded.To avoid the nodes from being overloaded,the load balancer divides an equal amount of computing time to all nodes.The results of two different scenarios showed the cross-region traffic management and significant growth in revenue of restaurants by using load balancer decisions on application traffic gateways.

Following the trend of information technology,the development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)databases has led to great changes in terms of data.For example,the storage and dissemination medium of data has achieved a shift from paper books to the internet,and the content has expanded from basic information to comprehensive information such as targets and molecular structures of modern medicine.In recent years,the amount of information contained in the TCM databases has grown at an unparalleled rate.However,there are still challenges correlated with the database construction,including insufficient data volume,inconsistent construction standards,and a low level of platformization.Additionally,the prevalence of applications in the field of TCM like network pharmacology,bioinformatics,and artificial intelligence requires a large volume of high-quality data.Generally speaking,the advancements in life science and artificial intelligence technology have outpaced the development of TCM databases.Therefore,this paper compiled the current status of TCM databases,discussed the benefits and drawbacks of various databases,and concluded that the development trend should be comprehensive,platform-based,and tightly integrated with modern life science technology and artificial intelligence technology,so as to provide assistance to the modernization research of TCM.

摘要:
Our paper describes the organizing of database,remarks about SNGO(Surlari National Geomagnetic Observatory)and network infrastructure.Based on the geomagnetic data acquired and stored on the database server,we perform the processing and analysis of geomagnetic parameters through different spectral,statistical and correlation methods.All these parameters are included in the geomagnetic database on server.The web interface for the database meets the different needs of handling the data collected,raw or processed.The server-side programming language used for design is php.This allow us to select different periods for which access to stored data,required for different search filters and different parameters or data from different time periods can be compared.For a more in-depth analysis of the stored data,through JavaScript programming language graphs for different parameters can be drawn.Access to the web interface can be done with or without authentication,depending on the need to ensure the security of certain data collected,stored and processed.The applications are scalable for different devices that will access it:mobile,tablets,laptops or desktops.

This paper is aim to carry out bibliometric,co-presence,and visual analyses of Chinese literature regarding Mimics software application,and to explore the software research status,research hotspots、dynamic frontiers.Select the Chinese documents of Mimics software application included in W anfang database from 1992 to 2019 and Using CiteSpace software for co presence analysis of the keywords and institutions,finally draw a visual map.In results,2654 effective articles adopted.

Facial micro-expressions are short and imperceptible expressions that involuntarily reveal the true emotions that a person may be attempting to suppress,hide,disguise,or conceal.Such expressions can reflect a person's real emotions and have a wide range of application in public safety and clinical diagnosis.The analysis of facial micro-expressions in video sequences through computer vision is still relatively recent.In this research,a comprehensive review on the topic of spotting and recognition used in micro expression analysis databases and methods,is conducted,and advanced technologies in this area are summarized.In addition,we discuss challenges that remain unresolved alongside future work to be completed in the field of micro-expression analysis.
