    • 摘要: On cosmic picture of the ice surface lake Baikal are discovered dark ring by diameter 7 km-8 km.The author shall give physical interpretation given phenomenon,having expected that shaping rings are connected with surge of the warm natural gas from sedimentary thick mass of the bottom of the Baikal.Convection is formed in thick mass of water in the manner of torah around surge of the natural gas,which carries become warm water before surface(the lower edge ice)in side from pole of the natural gas.The mechanism heatconductivity heat gets to upper edge ice,where snow and ice begin intensive to melt.As a result thawed patch is formed on snow-clad ice in the manner of ring.

    • 摘要: The accelerated depletion of oil reserves and the often exorbitant cost of fossil fuels contribute to the development of fuels from renewable sources. The objective of this work is to analyze the influence of the properties of renewable fuels on their evaporation in natural convection, their combustion and their use in internal combustion engines. A summary of the various numerical and experimental works from the literature has been presented in this work. This work focuses on the numerical modelling of the natural convection evaporation of an isolated drop of a liquid fuel in natural convection. The transfers in the liquid and vapour phases are described by the conservation equations of mass and species, momentum and energy. The main feature of this work is the consideration of advection, azimuthal angle and thickness of the vapour phase of the drop during evaporation of the drop.

    • 摘要: The present investigation focuses on the thermal performance of a fully wet stretching/shrinking longitudinal fin of exponential profile coated with a mechanism like a conveyer belt.The modeled equation is non-dimensionalized and solved by applying the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg(RKF)method.The effects of parameters such as the wet parameter,the fin shape parameter,and the stretching/shrinking parameter on the heat transfer and thermal characteristics of the fin are graphically analyzed and discussed.It is inferred that the negative effects of motion and internal heat generation on the fin heat transfer rate can be lessened by setting a shrinking mechanism on the fin surface.The current examination is inclined towards practical applications and is beneficial to the design of fins.

    • 摘要: In this paper,a detailed investigation of water(Pr=7.0)convection in a chemical condenser is carried out.Two openings are located along one side of the cavity.The Navier-Stokes equations are solved in the frame of a control volume method using the SIMPLEC algorithm to implement adequate coupling of pressure and velocity.Special emphasis is given to the influence of the Reynolds number,the tilt of the channel and the Rayleigh number on the convective heat transfer.Results are presented and discussed allowing the control parameters to span relatively wide intervals:Rayleigh number(10^(4)≤Ra≤5×10^(5)),channel inclination(0°≤90°)and Reynolds number(10≤Re≤1000).On the basis of these results,a new correlation of the Nusselt number is elaborated.

    • 摘要: Heavy fuel oils require heated tanks to facilitate their transportation and processing.This paper proposes and investigates threeand four-level heating coil bundles.Numerical study revealed that powerful large-scale circulation of the heated fluid enhances heat transfer,delivering 16.7%and 23%improvements to the average heat transfer coefficient for the three-and four-level bundles,respectively.Furthermore,this circulation improves oil mixing and limits the variation in bulk oil temperature to-0.3 to+1.3°C from the average.The study also quantified oil flow velocity near the bottom of the tank.The time-averaged horizontal components of velocity,estimated 25 mm and 50 mm above the bottom of the tank,exceed 2 mm/s and 4 mm/s,respectively.The proposed heating coil bundles feature a compact design that reduces the material and labor costs of construction and that,by occupying only a small portion of the bottom of the tank,improves accessibility,maintenance,and cleaning.

    • 摘要: A two-dimensional numerical study of natural convection in a tunnel whose plane is sinusoidal with an opening on the horizontal ceiling is presented. In this work, we study the thermoconvective instabilities of air in a tunnel closed at both ends and heated by the floor. The study was carried out for different cases of geometry by varying the thickness of the sinusoid and the height of the tunnel. In order to create a transverse movement of the air, we heated the floor to the temperature Tf and kept the horizontal ceiling at the temperature Tg?such that Tg? Tf. This work has a lot of scope of application ranging from geothermal flow to the civil engineering like ventilation in the case of tunnels and thermal comfort of buildings. The Navier Stokes equations that model this problem have been solved using the numerical method with simplifying assumptions such as the Boussinesq hypothesis. And finally an interpretation of the results of the simulations has been made taking into account the variation of the form factors such as the amplitude of the sinusoid for Rayleigh number 2 x 104 ≤Ra?≤7 x 106?and Prendtl number Pr = 0.71.

    • 摘要: Many problems regarding structure-function relationships have remained unsolved in the field of respiratory physiology. In the present review, we highlighted these uncertain issues from a variety of anatomical and physiological viewpoints. Model A of Weibel in which dichotomously branching airways are incorporated should be used for analyzing gas mixing in conducting and acinar airways. Acinus of Loeschcke is taken as an anatomical gas-exchange unit.Although it is difficult to define functional gas-exchange unit in a way entirely consistent with anatomical structures, acinus of Aschoff may serve as a functional gas-exchange unit in a first approximation. Based on anatomical and physiological perspectives, the multiple inert-gas elimination technique is thought to be highly effective for predicting ventilation-perfusion heterogeneity between acini of Aschoff under steady-state condition. Changes in effective alveolar P_(O2), the most important parameter in classical gas-exchange theory, are coherent with those in mixed alveolar P_(O2) decided from the multiple inert-gas elimination technique. Therefore, effective alveolar-arterial P_(O2) difference is considered useful for assessing gas-exchange abnormalities in lung periphery.However, one should be aware that although alveolar-arterial P_(O2) difference sensitively detects moderately low ventilation-perfusion regions causing hypoxemia, it is insensitive to abnormal gas exchange evoked by very low and high ventilation-perfusion regions. Pulmonary diffusing capacity for CO (D_(LCO))and the value corrected for alveolar volume (V_(AV)), i.e., D_(LCO)/V_(AV) (K_(CO)), are thought to be crucial for diagnosing alveolar-wall damages. D_(LCO)-related parameters have higher sensitivity to detecting abnormalities in pulmonary microcirculation than those in the alveolocapillary membrane. We would like to recommend four categories derived from combining behaviors of D_(LCO) with those of K_(CO) for differential diagnosis on anatomically morbid states in alveolar walls:type-1abnormality defined by decrease in both D_(LCO) and K_(CO); type-2 abnormality by decrease in D_(LCO) but increase in K_(CO); type-3 abnormality by decrease in D_(LCO) but restricted rise in K_(CO); and type-4 abnormality by increase in both D_(LCO) and K_(CO).

    • 摘要: In this work, we studied the thermoconvective instabilities in a pentagonal cavity containing a Newtonian fluid. The cavity provided with a side opening is uniformly heated from above by a constant heat flux. The natural ventilation phenomenon in the classic habitat of the hot climate is thus numerically analyzed with unsteady natural convection equations formulated with vorticity and stream-function variables. The finite volume predictions of two-dimensional laminar natural convection at high Rayleigh number are presented. Results show that the incoming fresh air and the hot air discharge begin with the late start of the convection. The phenomenon intensifies with time and the birth of instabilities improves the homogenisation of temperatures which imply the elimination of very cold and very hot areas. However, the competition between the incoming fresh air and the hot air expansion leads to a perpetual displacement of the thermal front. The cross-sections at the opening of the incoming fresh and outgoing hot air are time-varying and the penetration depth of the fresh air is highlighted by the large convective cells originated from the aperture. The non monotonic variation of the Nusselt number reflects not only the multicell nature of the flow but also expresses the heat lost by the active walls due to the fresh air.

    • 摘要: In this short article, the upwind and central compact finite difference schemes for spatial discretization of the first-order derivative are analyzed. Comparison of the schemes is provided and the best discretization scheme for convection dominated problems is suggested.
