    • 摘要: Web of Things(WoT)resources are not only numerous,but also have a wide range of applications and deployments.The centralized WoT resource sharing mechanism lacks flexibility and scalability,and hence cannot satisfy requirement of distributed resource sharing in large-scale environment.In response to this problem,a trusted and secure mechanism for WoT resources sharing based on context and blockchain(CWoT-Share)was proposed.Firstly,the mechanism can respond quickly to the changes of the application environment by dynamically determining resource access control rules according to the context.Then,the flexible resource charging strategies,which reduced the fees paid by the users who shared more resources and increased the fees paid by users who frequently used resources maliciously,were used to fulfill efficient sharing of WoT resources.Meanwhile,the charging strategies also achieve load balancing by dynamic selection of WoT resources.Finally,the open source blockchain platform Ethereum was used for the simulation and the simulation results show that CWoT-Share can flexibly adapt to the application environment and dynamically adjust strategies of resource access control and resource charging.

    • 摘要: Audiovisual production,as social media,plays a considerable role in cultural exchanges around the world,for it is one of the ways for people to know more about exotic cultures.At the same time,due to language barriers,the importance of subtitle trans⁃lation is gradually recognized.The subtitle translation can go beyond the limits of time and space to faithfully reproduce the story plot and skillfully convey the feelings.From the perspective of relevance theory,the subtitle translation of The Big Bang Theory is chosen as a case in this paper to analyze the inferential process in the following three relevant aspects:relevance in context,rele⁃vance in culture,and relevance in the audience.

    • 摘要: The primary aim of the study at hand is to investigate Jordanian idioms in light of Speech Act Theory. Morespecifically, it attempts to highlight and explore the speech acts and the illocutionary acts used in Jordanian idiomsbased on Searle’s classification of speech acts. In order to achieve this goal, the researcher interviewed 20Jordanian Arabic language native speakers and asked them to give a Jordanian idiom and a context in which itoccurs. After analyzing the data, the study reveals that there are four speech acts of Jordanian idioms. They areexpressives, directives, representatives, and commssives. It also reveals that Jordanian idiomatic expressionsperform many pragmatic functions (illocutions). They are insulting, blaming, criticizing, scorning, asking, advising,asserting, and threatening.

    • 摘要: This paper is aimed to develop an algorithm for extracting association rules,called Context-Based Association Rule Mining algorithm(CARM),which can be regarded as an extension of the Context-Based Positive and Negative Association Rule Mining algorithm(CBPNARM).CBPNARM was developed to extract positive and negative association rules from Spatiotemporal(space-time)data only,while the proposed algorithm can be applied to both spatial and non-spatial data.The proposed algorithm is applied to the energy dataset to classify a country’s energy development by uncovering the enthralling interdependencies between the set of variables to get positive and negative associations.Many association rules related to sustainable energy development are extracted by the proposed algorithm that needs to be pruned by some pruning technique.The context,in this paper serves as a pruning measure to extract pertinent association rules from non-spatial data.Conditional Probability Increment Ratio(CPIR)is also added in the proposed algorithm that was not used in CBPNARM.The inclusion of the context variable and CPIR resulted in fewer rules and improved robustness and ease of use.Also,the extraction of a common negative frequent itemset in CARM is different from that of CBPNARM.The rules created by the proposed algorithm are more meaningful,significant,relevant and insightful.The accuracy of the proposed algorithm is compared with the Apriori,PNARM and CBPNARM algorithms.The results demonstrated enhanced accuracy,relevance and timeliness.

    • 摘要: This paper discusses the implicit function of refusal expressions that has been used by Chinese native speakers when responding to people’s offerings.By analyzing three conversations regarding how Chinese people have accepted people’s offerings during different time periods(1960’s,1980’s,and 2000’s),the author argues that the verbal refusal in reacting to people’s offerings(especially gifts)does not literally mean“No,I don’t want it.”Instead,it is a way to show humility,politeness,and respect to the gift giver,and it functions as an implicit form of acceptance.By referring to three excerpts chosen from The Book of Rites(Liji禮記),the author demonstrates the Chinese cultural values and cultural themes,focusing on what Chinese people say and do to show respect and politeness when dealing with gifts or other friendliness related offerings.The paper finds two pedagogical implications:1)it is the instructor’s responsibility to highlight the verbal and non-verbal behaviors that both native speakers and language learners do not ordinarily notice in language class,and 2)the repetitive contextualized performances in different levels of learning are necessary and play crucial roles in teaching and learning.
