摘要： The Jiangnan Shipyard has expanded its presence from the Yangtze River region to the ocean,making outstanding contributions to the advancement of the shipbuilding and shipping industries.WITH its predecessor dating back to 1865,Jiangnan Shipyard(Group)Co.,Ltd.has been acclaimed as the birthplace of China’s national industry,the cradle of Chinese industrial workers,and a forerunner of the country’s opening-up drive.Over the vicissitudes of the last one and a half centuries,Jiangnan Shipyard has expanded its presence from the Yangtze River region to the blue oceans.

摘要： DEAR EDITOR,Anadromous Coilia nasus is a socioeconomically important species from the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River,China.Here,we compared growth and feeding of C.nasus larvae in four reaches along the full migration corridor of the river(640 km)to determine how fitness varies between progenies of short-and long-distance migrants.Results demonstrated that larvae collected in downstream sections grew faster,exhibited higher feeding intensities.

摘要： During revision of the genus Microphysogobio Mori,1934,we discovered a new species of Huigobio from the Yangtze River Basin in China.The new species,named Huigobio heterocheilus sp.nov.,can be distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following characters:medial pad on lower lip not visible;ventral region scaleless before pelvic-fin insertion;lateral-line scales 39-40;caudal peduncle depth 49.2%-59.1%of length;barbel length 6.6%-10.7%of head length;black blotch between anterior margin of eye and upper lip.Using the K2P model and cytochrome b(cyt b)sequences,interspecific genetic distances between the new species and Huigobio exilicauda Jiang&Zhang,2013 and Huigobio chenhsienensis Fang,1938 were 13.2%and 15.1%,respectively.The new species is known from the upper reaches of the Xiangjiang River in the middle Yangtze River Basin.A diagnostic key for species of Huigobio Fang,1938 is provided.

摘要： As a civilization thousands of years old,fishing has been China?s lifeblood-a culture rich with gifts from its rich waters.From the rapids of the Yellow River to the Yangtze River,from the East China Sea to the South China Sea,these waters nurture(养育)generation after generation,forming a distinct charac⁃ter among its fisherfolk.However,taking too much from these waters has its drawbacks.It is quite necessary for us to take action to develop and protect them.

摘要： 1.Introduction to the project The Three Gorges Project is a key backbone project for the management and development of the Yangtze River.Its dam site is located in the middle section of the Xiling Gorge at the main stream of the Yangtze River,in Sandouping Town,Yichang City,Hubei Province,with a control basin area of about 1×10^(6)km^(2),an average annual flow of 14300 m^(3)·s^(-1),an average annual runoff of 4.51×10^(11) m^(3),a normal water level at an elevation(EL)of 175 m,and a corresponding reservoir capacity of 3.93×10^(10) m^(3).

摘要： The Yangtze River originates from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,often dubbed the Roof of the World,and receives tributaries from both north and south while flowing eastward towards the sea,nourishing the vast land of China.However,many years of environmentally unfriendly lifestyles and methods of production have left the Yangtze River Economic Belt with some of the worst water environmental problems in China.In March 2016,the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee adopted the Outline of the Yangtze River Economic Belt Development Plan,which elevated ecological protection of the Yangtze River to a national strategic mission and prompted drafting a blueprint for Yangtze protection.

摘要： With construction of China Gas Ezhou Port Fudi Fujiang Marine LNG Bunkering Station Project in Hubei Province on December 25,2020,the 7 marine LNG bunkering stations construction project in five provinces and two municipalities along the Yangtze River Main Line has all been started in line with the requirements set out in the Remediation Plan for Prominent Problems of Ship and Port Pollution in ihe Yangtze River Economic Belt(YEB),of which one LNG bunkering station in Chongqing was the first in trial operation.
