    • 摘要: The 40th CERAWeek was held offline in Houston from March 7th to 11th,2022.The theme of this CERAWeek was“Pace of Change:Energy,Climate,and Innovation”.This was the first time CERAWeek had been held offline since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.CERAWeek was forced to be canceled in 2020 and held online in 2021.CERAWeek 2022 consisted of 152 plenary sessions and various themed sessions,331“Innovation Agora”sessions,34 presentations,552 speakers,and over 6,000 attendees(a record number).The broader context for this CERAWeek was that the global energy industry is at a critical turning point,and it requires new thinking,innovation,and systemic transformation for the USD 90 trillion(GDP)world economy.The global situation is further complicated by geopolitical tensions and the prevalence of nationalism,intensified trade friction,stalled supply chains,sagging economies,and the COVID-19 pandemic.Global energy markets are facing unprecedented turbulence and uncertainty.

    • 摘要: In 2021,the futures price of the global crude oil price benchmarks,Brent and WTI,rose by 50.63%and 55.72%respectively,then continued in an upward trend in 2022 to hit a new high since 2008,reaching USD 139.13/barrel and USD 130.5/barrel respectively;the Dutch TTF Natural Gas Futures price,the European natural gas price benchmark,rose by 267.85%,reaching a high in the year of 187.785 EUR/MW·h,up by 881.99%,then continued in an upward trend in 2022,reaching 345 EUR/MW·h,with a highest increase of 390.45%;even though the current price has fallen back,it remains at 100 EUR/MW·h.

    • 摘要: In September 2020,China put forward the“Dual Carbon Goals”strategy of“striving to achieve peak CO_(2) emissions by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060”,starting a new journey of China’s green and low-carbon development.Subsequently,specific measures and paths were proposed,such as“building a new power system with new energy as the mainstay”and“the proportion of non-fossil energy consumption will reach more than 80%by 2060”,and it was pointed out that achieving peak CO_(2) emissions and carbon neutrality is a complex,long-term and systematic project for which the relationships between development and emission reduction,overall and local,short-term and medium/long-term,and pollution reduction and energy security should be dealt with properly so as to eventually build a clean,low-carbon,safe and efficient energy system.

    • 摘要: Climate change is a long-term battle for the international community;what the world needs now more than ever is a new“green”agenda.Like many a multilateral gathering over the past few years,the 2022 Annual Conference of the Boao Forum for Asia(BFA),a platform that promotes regional economic integration,placed special emphasis on low-carbon development.The event,running from April 20 to 22 in Boao,Hainan Province,homed in on green and sustainable growth as the world is reeling from the COVID-19 pandemic and global climate change.China received much attention.Among all the ambitious commitments on the global stage,the country’s“30-60”decarbonization goals,namely to peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060,stand out.

    • 摘要: Erythromycin thiocyanate is widely used for the production of other macrolide antibiotics. In this work, a novel heterosolvate of this pharmaceutical compound has been obtained and characterized for the first time, which was transformed from the dihydrate form in the acetone solvent through evaporation crystallization. Thermal behavior together with compositional analysis revealed that both water and acetone molecules participated in the formation of the crystal lattice which is rarely reported before. The general chemical name of the heterosolvate may be defined as erythromycin thiocyanate sesquihydrate hemiacetonate. Furthermore, studies on solid-state spectral analysis provided strong evidence of intermolecular hydrogen bonds in heterosolvate crystals. According to the crystal structure determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction, the formation mechanism of the heterosolvate is proposed in which strong multihydrogen bondings between water and solute molecules form the layer structure. While acetone molecules form single-hydrogen bonds with solutes and reside in channels between layers. This well explains why acetone solvent is easy to escape from the crystal structure during desolvation.
