    • 摘要: Dear editor,With the developments of industrial automation in recent years,vehicle suspension systems have received a great deal of attention in industry and academia due to their critical role in the chassis performance of vehicles[1].The suspension system is expected to guarantee the vehicle’s maneuverability and provide satisfactory ride comfort by absorbing the vibrations arising from the road surface excitations and ensuring road-holding capability and suspension safety.Motivated by the desirable performance of the model reference adaptive control(MRAC)approach,various literature studies have investigated its performance in diverse linear and nonlinear practical systems[2].

    • 摘要: A research team led by Dr.LI Zhiheng and Dr.Thomas Stidham from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology(IVPP)of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has discovered the amazingly well-preserved fossil skeleton of an extinct owl that lived more than six million years ago in China.Their detailed study of the skeleton’s fossilized eye bones shows the owl was active in the daytime,not the night.

    • 摘要: This paper presents a comparison of the results obtained from the integration of the photovoltaic system to the electrical grid through the Active Power Filter.The innovative aspect of this article consists of the elaboration of 4 models in Matlab/Simulink for 4 methods of control of the Active Power Filter introduced between the photovoltaic system and the alternating current grid and the highlighting of the performances obtained regarding the quality and quantity of electricity transferred for each control method in part.Following the analysis of the results,it was found that by using the Indirect Control(CI)method of the Active Power Filter,the best results are obtained THDu=3.24%,THDi=2.46%if the photovoltaic system produces a larger amount of energy than the nonlinear load,and by using the methods of control of the Active Power Filter Synchronous Reference Frame(DQ)and Instantaneous Power(PQ)the best results are obtained:THDu=3.22%,THDi=5.26%for the method(DQ)and THDu=3.41%,THDi=5.17%for the method(PQ)if the photovoltaic system produces a smaller amount of energy than the nonlinear load.

    • 摘要: Education philosophy,which plays a major role in teacher beliefs,is crucial for teacher educators. Ever since the end of last century, there has been a trend in North America to promote, or restore active learning in college/university classrooms. This paper, based on some explorations of the social constructivism, the six assumptions in Andragogy, the ARCS model, the active learning theory and some practical activities, proposes an integrated education philosophy about adult learning. It is assumed this will be able to provide some insight and guidance for college practitioners.

    • 摘要: Under the conditions of joint torque output dead-zone and external disturbance,the trajectory tracking and vibration suppression for a free-floating space robot(FFSR)system with elastic base and flexible links were discussed.First,using the Lagrange equation of the second kind,the dynamic model of the system was derived.Second,utilizing singular perturbation theory,a slow subsystem describing the rigid motion and a fast subsystem corresponding to flexible vibration were obtained.For the slow subsystem,when the width of deadzone is uncertain,a dead-zone pre-compensator was designed to eliminate the impact of joint torque output dead-zone,and an integral sliding mode neural network control was proposed.The integral sliding mode term can reduce the steady state error.For the fast subsystem,an optimal linear quadratic regulator(LQR)controller was adopted to damp out the vibration of the flexible links and elastic base simultaneously.Finally,computer simulations show the effectiveness of the compound control method.
    • 摘要: 1LEGO 1:1真实比例Volkswagen T2经典露营车德国慕尼黑举办的旅游展F.re.e Leisure and Travel Fair展出数十款经典旅行车,而当中一台超级经典露营车Volkswagen T2以LEGO砌成。继早前为了宣传《The LEGO Movie 2》而特别制作的1:1 LEGO版本Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss之后,如今再度有单位以真实Volkswagen T2露营车作为根据制作出真实比例LEGO版本,由LEGO认证大师Rene Hoffmeister及Pascal Lenhard主理,采用了40万件积木耗时6个星期砌成,成品重达300公斤,除了车门可以敞开之外,里面所有的装潢及摆设均同样由 LEGO 砌成,让人叹为观止。

    • 摘要: Objective: To develop an optimal follow-up treatment for neonatal and nosocomial infections and to examine correlations between the C-reactive protein (C-RP) and platelets. Methods: A sample of 27 septic neonates and 14 non-septic neonates were selected for this study. The non-septic neonates served as a control group. Blood samples were collected from both groups and analyzed for bacterial contamination via blood culture, complete blood count (CBC), and C-RP, according to international laboratory standards. Blood collection and analysis were repeated every day during the follow-up treatments with antibiotics to evaluate the kinetics of C-RP. Results: Blood culture found E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus in the blood of the septic cases. Serum C-RP concentrations were at high levels (24 mg/dl) in the septic neonates and at normal levels (lower than 6 mg/dl) in the control group. Treatment with active antibiotics resulted in a drastic reduction of the C-RP values and helped to reach a normal level as in the control group. On the other hand, there were increases in the platelet levels as the C-RP levels decreased. This result indicates a strong negative association between C-RP and platelet levels in the septic group only. Statistical analysis shows significant differences between the mean C-RP serum concentrations of the sepsis and non-sepsis. Conclusion: blood culture, active antibiotics, and kinetic C-RP measurements during the medical follow-up treatment are strong driving parameters for the optimal and successful management of sepsis.

    • 摘要: Thermal annealing effects on gamma irradiated Ni/4 H-SiC Schottky barrier diode(SBD) characteristics are analyzed over a wide range of temperatures(400–1100 °C). The annealing induced variations in the concentration of deep level traps in the SBDs are identified by thermally stimulated capacitance(TSCAP). A little decrease in the trap density at E_C – 0.63 eV and E_C –1.13 eV is observed up to the annealing temperature of 600 °C. Whereas, a gamma induced trap at E_C – 0.89 eV disappeared after annealing at 500 °C, revealing that its concentration(< 1013 cm-3) is reduced below the detection limit of the TSCAP technique.The electrical characteristics of irradiated SBDs are considerably changed at each annealing temperature. To understand the anomalous variations in the post-annealing characteristics, the interface state density distribution in the annealed SBDs is extracted.The electrical properties are improved at 400 °C due to the reduction in the interface trap density. However, from 500 °C, the electrical parameters are found to degrade with the annealing temperature because of the increase in the interface trap density.From the results, it is noted that the rectifying nature of the SBDs vanishes at or above 800 °C.
