China’s first carbon dioxide(CO_(2))measurement satellite mission,TanSat,was launched in December 2016.This paper introduces the first attempt to detect anthropogenic CO_(2) emission signatures using CO_(2) observations from TanSat and NO_(2) measurements from the TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument(TROPOMI)onboard the Copernicus Sentinel-5 Precursor(S5P)satellite.We focus our analysis on two selected cases in Tangshan,China and Tokyo,Japan.We found that the TanSat XCO_(2) measurements have the capability to capture the anthropogenic variations in the plume and have spatial patterns similar to that of the TROPOMI NO_(2) observations.The linear fit between TanSat XCO_(2) and TROPOMI NO_(2) indicates the CO_(2)-to-NO_(2) ratio of 0.8×10^(-16) ppm(molec cm^(-2))^(-1) in Tangshan and 2.3×10^(-16) ppm(molec cm^(-2))^(-1) in Tokyo.Our results align with the CO_(2)-to-NOx emission ratios obtained from the EDGAR v6 emission inventory.

[Objectives]To explore the relationship between vegetation index and forest surface fuel load.[Methods]UAV multispectral remote sensing was used to obtain large-scale forest images and obtain structural data of forest surface fuel load.This experimental area was located in Gaoming District,Foshan City,Guangdong Province.The average surface fuel load of the experimental area was as high as 39.33 t/ha,and the forest surface fuel load of Pinus elliottii was the highest.[Results]The normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)and enhanced vegetation index(EVI)had a moderately strong correlation with the forest surface fuel load.The regression model of NDVI(X)and forest surface fuel load(Y)was established:Y=-5.9354X+8.4663,and the regression model of EVI(X)and forest surface fuel load(Y)was established:Y=-5.8485X+6.7271.The study also found that the linear relationship between NDVI and surface fuel load was more significant.[Conclusions]Both NDVI and EVI have moderately strong correlations with forest surface fuel load.NDVI is moderately or strongly correlated with the surface fuel load of Pinus massoniana forest,shrub grassland,broad-leaf forest and bamboo forest,while EVI is only strongly correlated with surface fuel load of broad-leaf forest and bamboo forest.It is expected that the relationship between other vegetation indices and forest surface fuel load can be obtained by the method in this study,so as to find a more universal vegetation index for calculating surface fuel load.

The shortage of personal protective equipment and lack of proper nursing training have been endangering health care workers dealing with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).In our treatment center,the implementation of a holistic care model of time-sharing management for severe and critical COVID-19 patients has further aggravated the shortage of intensive care unit(ICU)professional nurses.Therefore,we developed a short-term specialized and targeted nursing training program to help ICU nurses to cope with stress and become more efficient,thus reducing the number of nurses required in the ICU.In order to avoid possible human-to-human spread,small teaching classes and remote training were applied.The procedural training mode included four steps:preparation,plan,implementation,and evaluation.An evaluation was conducted throughout the process of nursing training.In this study,we documented and shared experiences in transitioning from traditional face-to-face programs to remote combined with proceduralization nursing training mode from our daily work experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic,which has shown to be helpful for nurses working in the ICU.

The analysis of satellite images is of fundamental importance in relation to understanding the evolution in land use.The general objective of this study is to analyze the changes in characteristics of rural land use in the municipality of Carazinho(RS)from 2001 to 2020 through the analysis of images taken from the Landsat TM-7 and TM-8 satellites.The TM-7 and TM-8 satellite images were classified and supervised,thus generation thematic maps with the following groups:tillage,forest,water resources and exposed soil.The analysis of this study showed that in 2001 the tillage group had an area of 10,651.6 ha,the forest group had an area of 7,248.03 ha,the water resources group occupied an area of 1,444.96 ha,and the exposed soil group occupied an area of 6,798.75 ha.When using the images taken in 2020,the same area presented the following data:the tillage group with an area of 15,941.5 ha.(60.95%),the forest group with an area of 4,320.99 ha(16.52%),water resources group with an area of 141.02 ha(0.53%),and the exposed soil group with an area of 5,747.22 ha(21.97%).The results demonstrate changes in land use during the study period,mainly with regard to the increase of cultivation areas and,consequently,the suppression of vegetation.
