    • 摘要: Epidural electrical stimulation is a new treatment method for spinal cord injury(SCI).Its efficacy and safety have previously been reported.Rehabilitation treatment after epidural electrical stimulation is important to ensure and improve the postoperative efficacy of epidural electrical stimulation in patients with SCI.Considering that electromyography(EMG)-induced rehabilitation treatment can accurately match the muscle contraction of patients with SCI,we designed a study protocol for a prospective,randomized controlled trial.In this trial,on the premise of adjusting the spinal cord electrical stimulator to obtain the maximum EMG signal of the target muscle,patients with SCI receiving epidural electrical stimulation will undergo EMG-induced rehabilitation treatment.Recovery of muscle strength of key muscles,quality of life,safety and therapeutic effects will be monitored.Twenty patients with SCI who are scheduled to undergo epidural electrical stimulation in Shanghai Ruijin Rehabilitation Hospital will be randomly divided into two groups with 10 patients per group.The control group will receive conventional rehabilitation treatment.The EMG-induced rehabilitation group will receive EMG-induced rehabilitation treatment of the target muscles of the upper and lower limbs based on conventional rehabilitation treatment.After rehabilitation treatment,follow up for all patients will occur at 2 weeks and 1,3 and 6 months.The primary outcome measure of this trial will be evaluation of target muscle recovery using the Manual Muscle Testing grading scale.Secondary outcome measures will include modified Barthel Index scores,integrated EMG values,the visual analogue scale,Spinal Cord Independence Measure scores,and modified Ashworth scale scores.The safety indicator will be the incidence of adverse events.This trial will collect data regarding the therapeutic effects of EMG-induced rehabilitation in patients with SCI receiving epidural electrical stimulation for 6 months after rehabilitation treatment.Findings from this trial will help develop rehabilitation methods in patients with SCI after epidural electrical stimulation.This study protocol was approved by Ethics Committee of Shanghai Ruijin Rehabilitation Hospital(Approval No.RKIRB2022-12)on February 15,2022 and was registered with Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(registration number:ChiCTR2200061674;date:June 30,2022).Study protocol version:1.0.

    • 摘要: Spinal cord injury often leads to severe motor and sensory deficits,and prognosis using the currently available therapies remains poor.Therefore,we aimed to explore a novel therapeutic approach for improving the prognosis of spinal cord injury.In this study,we implanted oscillating field stimulation devices and transplanted neural stem cells into the thoracic region(T9–T10)of rats with a spinal cord contusion.Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan scoring revealed that oscillating field stimulation combined with neural stem cells transplantation promoted motor function recovery following spinal cord injury.In addition,we investigated the regulation of oscillating field stimulation on the miR-124/Tal1 axis in neural stem cells.Transfection of lentivirus was performed to investigate the role of Tal1 in neurogenesis of neural stem cells induced by oscillating field stimulation.Quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction,immunofluorescence and western blotting showed that oscillating field stimulation promoted neurogenesis of neural stem cells in vitro and in vivo.Hematoxylin and eosin staining showed that oscillating field stimulation combined with neural stem cells transplantation alleviated cavities formation after spinal cord injury.Taking the results together,we concluded that oscillating field stimulation decreased miR-124 expression and increased Tal1 content,thereby promoting the neurogenesis of neural stem cells.The combination of oscillating field stimulation and neural stem cells transplantation improved neurogenesis,and thereby promoted structural and functional recovery after spinal cord injury.

    • 摘要: As the steel industry expands worldwide,slag dumps with transition metals(especially chromium and vanadium)are becoming more common,posing a serious environmental threat.Understanding the properties of slags containing transition metal oxides,as well as how to use the slags to recover and recycle metal values,is critical.Toward this end,the University of Science and Technology Beijing(USTB)and Royal Institute of Technology(KTH)have been collaborating on slags containing transition metals for decades.The research was carried out from a fundamental viewpoint to get a better understanding of the structure of these slags and their properties,as well as industrial practices.The research focused on the three“R”s,viz.retention,recovery,and recycling.The present paper attempts to highlight some of the important achievements in these joint studies.

    • 摘要: Crossbreeding is an effective approach to manage the genetic decline in aquaculture.One-way hybrids of Crassostrea sikamea(♀)and Crassostrea gigas(♂)have advantages in growth traits and adaptation to high temperature.Here,we used high-throughput sequencing to analyze the molecular processes in the hybrids under and after thermal stress.The hybrids were cultured in the seawater with an increasing temperature from 25°Cto 40°Cduring 10 hours,which is regarded as the thermal stress stage.Then the temperature decreased from 40°Cto 25°Cwithin 2 h,which is regarded as the recovery stage.In this study,1293 significant diffe-rentially expressed genes(DEGs)were obtained under thermal stress,of which 576 were upregulated and 717 were downregulated,and 740 significant differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were obtained in the recovery stage,of which the number of upregulated and downregulated genes was 409 and 331,respectively.The antigen processing and presentation,NOD-like,and NF-kappa B path-ways were significantly enriched during the thermal stress stage.The MAPK and PPAR signaling pathways were significantly enrich-ed during the recovery stage.The HSP70,HSP90,and CANX genes were strongly and rapidly upregulated in the control/thermal stress groups but were slightly less upregulated in the thermal stress/recovery group.These results indicate that the innate immune system or nonspecific immunity was deployed to protect interior tissues from thermal stress.In addition,85%of the mutual DEGs were involved in bidirectional regulation(up/down or down/up)when the oysters were removed from the thermal stress to recover.This study provides preliminary insight into the molecular response of C.sikamea(♀)and C.gigas(♂)hybrids to thermal stress and provides a basis for future studies on temperature-adaptation and the possible expansion of hybrid breeding.

    • 摘要: N-alkyl imidazolium carbonate ionic liquids were employed to separate and recover naphthenic acid from model oils.The effects of the cationic and anionic structures of ionic liquids and operating conditions on the deacidification performance were investigated.The deacidification performance of traditional organic solvents was also investigated for comparison.The results indicated that the naphthenic acid could be completely removed from the model oil with a small mass ratio of ionic liquid to oil.The extracted naphthenic acid was regenerated with a recovery of up to 92%.In addition,imidazolium carbonate ionic liquids could be successfully regenerated and recycled.The mechanism of interaction between imidazole ionic liquids and the naphthenic acid molecules were explained by Gauss calculation.

    • 摘要: In light of the increasing demand for environmental protection and energy conservation,the recovery of highly valuable metals,such as Li,Co,and Ni,from spent lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)has attracted widespread attention.Most conventional recycling strategies,however,suffer from a lack of lithium recycling,although they display high efficiency in the recovery of Co and Ni.In this work,we report an efficient extraction process of lithium from the spent LIBs by using a functional imidazolium ionic liquid.The extraction efficiency can be reached to 92.5%after a three-stage extraction,while the extraction efficiency of Ni-Co-Mn is less than 4.0%.The new process shows a high selectivity of lithium ion.FTIR spectroscopy and ultraviolet are utilized to characterize the variations in the functional groups during extraction to reveal that the possible extraction mechanism is cation exchange.The results of this work provide an effective and sustainable strategy of lithium recycling from spent LIBs.

    • 摘要: An integrated benthic foraminiferal and organic matter analysis of samples obtained from sedimentary sections exposed in the Mangoule-Bonepoupa area, revealed a very shallow marine paleo-depositional environment for the sediments studied, with considerable influx of continental organic matter that were accumulated during the Cenomanian-Turonian age. With reference to the lithostratigraphic profile of the Douala/Kribi-Campo Basin, the age obtained reveals that the sedimentary sections studied belong particularly to the lower section of the Logbadjeck/Mungo River Formation, based on the following benthic foraminifera assemblage: Ammobaculites jessensis, Ammobaculites benuensis, Ammobaculites coprolithiformis, Ammotium cf nkalagum, Ammotium nwalum, Haplophragmoides cf beuchensis, Trochamina taylorana. A particularly very poor palynomorph assemblage was recovered and included no age diagnostic species: Acrostichum aureum, Lycopodiumsporites sp., Fungal spore, Lavigatosporites discordatus, Longapertites sp., Verrucosisporites sp. An organic petrographic analysis performed on these samples revealed Kerogen Type-II and Type-III. The entire data sets obtained from this area is remarkably poor and we suspect poor preservation as the cause viewing the extent of weathering. The paleo-depositional environment of these sediments was suggested both from the foraminifera and palynomorphs present and confirmed from the organic matter types and macrofossil contents. The studied sections are composed generally of dark to dark-gray shale beds. As one of the petroleum producing basins within the Gulf of Guinea in which exploration/exploitation activities are on-going, the current research is aim at providing more data useful in the continuous search for more potential source rocks in this basin.

    • 摘要: In this study,a green,environmentally friendly method for rapid cellulose nanofribril(CNF)preparation with a significant cost advantage was developed.Pretreatment with a deep eutectic solvent(DES)synthesized from oxalic acid dihydrate and choline chloride(ChCl-O)was combined with various mechanical treatment methods to produce okara CNFs from agricultural waste,with different diameter distributions.The results showed that high-speed stirring produced CNFs with an average diameter of 27 nm.This method was advantageous because it consumed about 94%less energy than traditional high-pressure homogenization method.The DES recovery rate was more than 90%,and DES served as a highly effective treatment,indicating that DES pretreatment is an economical,convenient,and effective strategy for okara CNF preparation.
