摘要:
Background:Football is the most practised sport in the world and is associated with the risk of injuries in the players. Some studies have been published that identify injury prevention programs, but there is no review of the full body of evidence on injury prevention programs for use by football coaches. The aim of this article was to carry out a systematic review of published studies on injury prevention programs for adult male footballers, identify points of common understanding and establish recommendations that should be considered in the design of injury prevention strategies. Methods:PubMed and EMBASE databases were used to identify relevant published articles using the following keywords:"soccer"AND"injury"AND"prevention".Results:A total of 2512 studies were identified initially, but only 11 studies met the inclusion criteria, and their outcomes are presented. Results revealed that injury prevention programs in football have focused on strength training, proprioceptive training, multicomponent programs(balance, core stability, and functional strength and mobility),and warm-up programs. Conclusion:Based on results from the studies analyzed, football players can lower the incidence of match and training injuries by participating in dynamic warm-up programs that include preventive exercises before games or during training sessions, and by adding strength, balance, and mobility training to the training sessions.

摘要:
Objective:Patients with dizziness may present with symptoms of tilting, swaying, rocking, floating or with disequilibrium. This may be suggestive of an isolated otolithic dysfunction yet, there is little emphasis on this emerging clinical entity. To characterize and describe the prevalence of isolated otolith dysfunction in a local tertiary hospital and correlate them with clinical diagnosis.Methodology:Retrospective medical chart review of patients who presented with dizziness to the specialist outpatient Otolaryngology clinic, who required vestibular laboratory investigation. Results:Of the 206 patients, more than half of them(52.4%)fulfilled the criteria for either probable or definite isolated otolith dysfunction. When there are clinical symptoms of otolith dysfunction reported, there is a 1.62 odds of a remarkable laboratory otolith finding. The most common clinical finding was“no clear diagnosis”(65.5%)followed by Vestibular Migraine(13.6%).Conclusion:The prevalence of isolated otolith dysfunction is quite high.Laboratory tests of otolith function should be performed more routinely. This can be done in a sequential way to optimize cost effectiveness in countries with no insurance reimbursement.Prospective cohort studies on isolated otolith dysfunction, will lay the groundwork for achieving diagnostic consensus and formulating rehabilitation plans to aid this group of patients。

摘要:
Background: Many older adults fall while turning. During the turning maneuver, rotation of the head precedes the rest of the body, creating a spatial frame of reference. Limitations of the neck rotation, may interfere with the turning mechanism, affect stability, and lead to recurrent falls. However, the association between the range of the neck rotation and turning stability was not explored yet. Purpose: To compare the impact of restricting the neck rotation by a brace, on the turning stability of adults with and without a history of falls. Methods: An observational, cross-sectional study consisting of 59 adults (average age 76 ± 6.9). A group (N = 29) with at least 2 falls (FL) in the last year and a group (N = 30) without a history of falls in the last year (NFL). All participants performed three tests: Timed up and Go (TUG), 180° Turn Test (180 TT) and 360° Turn Test (360 TT) with and without a neck brace. Results: All the scores of the FL were lower than those of the NFL (p < 0.01). Application of the brace worsened the performance of the 180 TT and the 360 TT of both groups (p < 0.05) but there was no interaction between group and bracing. The TUG score of only the NFL was affected by the brace (p < 0.004). Interestingly, only the range of the right neck rotation was correlated with balance tests and number of falls (r = 0.272;p < 0.05). Conclusions: Restricting of the neck mobility worsened the turning stability of both groups but without interaction. The study reinforces the need of considering the neck range of motion when addressing adult stability. A decrease in the range of right neck rotation was identified as a risk factor for loss of balance.

摘要:
The then West and East Germany originated from one nation, but there was big difference between their cultures before and immediately after the reunification in 1989.The difference is embodied in many aspects of the society, affecting deeply the individual life and national situation.Their formation has multiple causes, and various measures need to be made to bridge these gaps to reach the balance,so that Germany after the fall of Berlin Wall can go ahead prosperously, and brings benefits to all its people.

摘要:
Benchmark land price balance is an important content of urban benchmark land price work.In this paper,by building different levels of factor layers, the balance of urban residential land in 18 cities of Henan Province is studied, and the 18 cities can be divided into five categories. It is found that the urban land price level is basically consistent with the level of economic development, and some urban land price is lower due to local policy.

摘要:
BACKGROUND Low vitamin D levels are associated with a more severe case of knee osteoarthritis(OA).However, there are few published reports concerning an association between vitamin D deficiency and functional status of individuals with OA and no reports about postural balance in this population.AIM To analyze the relationship between vitamin D deficiency and severity, functional status, and balance in elderly patients with OA.METHODS In this cross-sectional study,105 elderly patients with hip and knee OA were included. The severity was assessed by the Kellgren-Lawrence criteria. The functional status was assessed with the Lequesne index.Postural balance was assessed using a force platform, and center-of-pressure parameters(velocity at anteroposterior and mediolateral axis)were used as the balance outcomes.Serum 25(OH)vitamin D levels were measured using a chemiluminescence method.RESULTS Most of the patients(mean age:70.6±6.5 years)were female(n=78,74.3%).In the group with vitamin D deficiency,43 patients(56.6%)had severe OA,while 33 patients(43.4%)had mild or moderate OA(χ^(2) test,P=0.04).Patients with vitamin D deficiency showed a higher Lequesne index score(Mann-Whitney test,P=0.04),indicating a worse functional impairment when compared to individuals with normal vitamin D levels.Additionally, patients with vitamin D deficiency had worse postural balance according to the Mann-Whitney test(P=0.03).CONCLUSION Vitamin D deficiency is associated with worse severity, functional status, and postural balance in patients with OA.

摘要:
Slacklining, the neuromechanical action of balance retention on a tightened band,is achieved through self-learned strategies combining dynamic stability with optimal energy expenditure.Published slacklining literature is recent and limited, including for neuromechanical control strategy models. This paper explores slacklining’s definitions and origins to provide background that facilitates understanding its evolution and progressive incorporation into both prehabilitation and rehabilitation.Existing explanatory slacklining models are considered, their application to balance and stability, and knowledge-gaps highlighted.Current slacklining models predominantly derive from human quiet-standing and frontal plane movement on stable surfaces. These provide a multi-tiered context of the unique and complex neuro-motoric requirements for slacklining’s multiple applications, but are not sufficiently comprehensive. This consequently leaves an incomplete understanding of how slacklining is achieved,in relation to multi-directional instability and complex multi-dimensional human movement and behavior. This paper highlights the knowledge-gaps and sets a foundation for the required explanatory control mechanisms that evolve and expand a more detailed model of multi-dimensional slacklining and human functional movement.Such a model facilitates a more complete understanding of existing performance and rehabilitation applications that opens the potential for future applications into broader areas of movement in diverse fields including prostheses, automation and machine-learning related to movement phenotypes.

摘要:
BACKGROUND Patients in the acute phase of rehabilitation after vestibular tumor surgery are dysfunctional in basic daily activities.Balance, gait impairments, and falls are prevalent with vestibular loss.AIM To determine the degree of balance disorders after vestibular tumor surgery, the susceptibility to falls and to assess motor tasks using the Functional Gait Assessment(FGA)scale for functional gait,as part of the vestibular rehabilitation program during hospital stay.METHODS Patients who achieved a score higher than 25 points on the Mini-Mental State Examination and higher than 8 points on the Barthel index were included in the study. They were evaluated with the Berg Balance Scale the second day after surgery, during their hospital stay,at discharge, and three months after surgery.Throughout their hospitalization, patients took part in the vestibular rehabilitation program, focusing on multiple motor tasks included in the FGA.RESULTS All patients progressed clinically and statistically significant differences in functional activities of daily living were observed during hospitalization, before discharge to the home environment(median=11;P=0.0059)and three months after vestibular tumor surgery(median=8;P=0.0058).After discharge from hospital, four patients were at risk of falls, and two patients were at risk at three months.CONCLUSION Our study showed a positive effect of the use of FGA tasks as part of a rehabilitation program on functional activities of daily living in patients after vestibular tumor surgery.Nevertheless,we suggest further research to include a larger sample and a control group to overcome the deficiencies of our study.
