摘要： Basic regulations concerning the collection and stripping of foul pulping process condensates are included in this TIP. Typical design and operating information is given based on a standard 900 air dry metric ton (1000 short tons) per day pulp mill. The strippers covered are those that remove total reduced sulfur (TRS) and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), such as methanol as required by the Cluster Rule.

摘要： This procedure determines the time required for an unsized and absorbent paper, such as a blotter, tissue, or towel, to completely absorb a specified quantity of water, suited to the kind of paper to be tested (1-4).It is not intended for sized papers nor those having an absorption time of over 120 s. Such papers should be tested in accordance with TAPPI T 441 "Water Absorptiveness of Sized (Non-Bibulous) Paper and Paperboard (Cobb Test)". For corrugating medium use TAPPI T 819 "Water Absorbency of Corrugating Medium."The water absorption results of this method can be used to judge the acceptability of tissue, toweling and blotter papers in sorptive tasks. For accurate comparisons of comparable materials this method has been superseded by more modern methods.

摘要： High paper mill boiler operating steam pressures require careful establishment of water quality control limits and monitoring procedures to assure maximum system reliability. The guidelines applicable to water treatment programs for modern paper mill boiler systems are provided and explained. The monitoring and sampling procedures and sampling methods necessary for such operating conditions are detailed.This paper deals with water quality and monitoring requirements. It is important to take the appropriate corrective action whenever these requirements are not being met. To that end, the Water Treatment Subcommittee of the TAPPI Energy, Recovery & Recaust Main Committee has published TIP 0416-05,Response to Contamination of High Purity Boiler Feedwater. Mills that experience feedwater contamination should adopt its recommendations.
