The invention provided is a process for obtaining an ore dust suppression resin by chemical regeneration of poly thermoplastic polymer (ethylene terephthalate) or PET. A method is provided for obtaining a resin by using a depolymerization reaction methodology of a polypolymer (ethylene terephthalate) obtained from a PET bottle after consumption in the presence of the cationic surfactant hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The resin is thus obtained and subsequently the same PVP K-90 (polyvinylpyrrolidone) is added with increasing load on the final viscosity of the resin. Other additives such as lignin extracted from plants such as leaves and branches may also be added, in which case they are incorporated to make the resin more hydrophobic.
