In the present invention, a composition for editing the genome of Aspen serrata comprising a CRISPR/Cas9 ribonucleic acid protein composed of a guide RNA for inducing correction of the SAP1 gene and a Cas9 protein, and a method for editing the genome of an aspenifera using the same are disclosed. According to the composition and method according to the present invention, it is possible to accurately and selectively correct the target gene of a desired sagebrush without introducing foreign DNA, also reduce the off-target effect, and improve the salt tolerance of sagebrush tree varieties required in various forestry fields.
