The patency check system consists of a channel connected to an intravenous (IV) device at the distal end of the channel, a patency port formed along the length of the channel, and a channel patency. It may include a plunger fluidly coupled to the flow path with a patency port for selectively drawing blood into the flow path to confirm sex.
