PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide extracts of plants belonging to Rosaceae Prunus which are obtained by extracting an active ingredient efficiently.SOLUTION: An antitumor agent of the present invention is characterized by containing as an active ingredient an extract of the leaves of the plants belonging to Rosaceae Prunus. The above-mentioned extract of the leaves of the plants belonging to Rosaceae Prunus is preferably an extract extracted by agitating the leaves of the plants belonging to Rosaceae Prunus with an impeller while crushing, and decompressing while applying heat from the outside in the crushing and agitating. Above-mentioned plants belonging to Rosaceae Prunus are one or more plants selected from the group consisting of Prunus, Prunus mume, Eriobotrya japonica, Prunus amygdalus, Prunus persica, Prunus salicina, Prunus domestica, and Amygdalus persica.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
