PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating cancer. The use of a combination of an immune checkpoint modulator and a fermentation composition for producing a pharmaceutical or kit for treating cancer, wherein the combination is more than the immune checkpoint modulator alone. The enhanced anti-cancer effect of the immune checkpoint modulator is provided, the immune checkpoint modulator is a PD-1 specific antibody or ligand thereof, and the fermentation composition comprises yeast and lactic acid bacteria.
