Provided in the present invention is the use of a compound, as represented by formula I, in the preparation of a drug for the prevention or treatment of cerebral ischemic stroke. It is discovered for the first time in the present invention that α-asarone has the effects of preventing and treating cerebral ischemic stroke, which provides a safe and effective drug for the prevention and treatment of cerebral ischemic stroke.
