An applanation head (2) for a Goldmann applanation tonometer (1) having at least one end portion (5) of a transparent yellow color, so as to filter the blue radiation, refracted through the applanation head, so as to facilitate the discrimination of the characteristic green semi-annuli of the intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement using Goldmann's applanation tonometer.
