The invention relates to a method for analysing the dynamic occupancy of a pitch, court, field, course or rink (100) by two opposing teams of a match involving a movable sporting accessory (110), such as a ball, puck or shuttlecock, each team comprising at least one player (120, 125). Such a method makes it possible to determine, for each player and for all or some of the points on the pitch, court, field, course or rink, a value representative of how far in advance said player is to said point of the pitch, court, field, course or rink, said representative value being computed by comparing the time it will take said player to move to said point of the pitch, court, field, course or rink to the time it will take a different player and/or the sporting accessory to move to the same point.
