The present invention relates to a synchronization device for determining a moment in a patient's respiratory cycle to aid in medical intervention on the patient. This device comprises: - a positioning device ( 20 ), - - at least one position intended to be placed on the body of the patient ( 1 ) and configured to be detectable by a radiopaque marker ( 11 ), a positioning device ( 20 ). a patient reference 10 comprising a setting component 12 , and an X-ray detector 13 intended to cooperate with the X-ray imaging device 40 , - the positioning device and data from the patient reference and a control device 30 for recording and processing. The invention likewise relates to a method for determining the moment of a patient's respiratory cycle in order to aid in a medical intervention concerning the patient (1).
