PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physiology measurement technique which enables the physiology of a marine organism to be easily and stably measured, and has low invasiveness.;SOLUTION: A measurement device 10 for marine organism physiology is provided, comprising; a physiology measurement circuit having a measurement input portion receiving a bioelectric signal of a measurement region from the marine organism in electrolyte-containing water, and a reference input portion receiving the electrical potential of the electrolyte-containing water including the marine organism; a measurement lead 17 having a coating layer for insulation, exposed from the coating layer at one end side, and constituting a biological electrode 13, and connected to the measurement input portion at the other end side; and a reference lead 15 having a reference electrode at one end, and connected to the reference input portion at the other end. The measurement lead electrically detects the bioelectric signal from the measurement lead in a state that the coating layer of the biological electrode and a portion adjoining the biological electrode is stuck into the marine organism, and sends the bioelectric signal from the measurement lead to the physiology measurement circuit.
