In the present invention, metal ions forming rare earth metals and dissimilar metal alloys are added to spent molten salt discharged from the pyro process, which is a process for treating spent nuclear fuel, and used through an electrochemical decomposition process to simultaneously-reduce dissimilar metal alloys. By providing a method for effectively separating and recovering rare earth metals contained in the spent ferment salt treated as radioactive waste in the spent nuclear fuel processing process, it is possible to use rare earth metal resources with high added value generated in the combustion process of nuclear fuel and contained in spent nuclear fuel. We present a method for recovering rare earth metals contained in spent nuclear fuel that can be easily recycled.
