The edge computing-based artificial intelligence system for strengthening safety management in an industrial site of the present invention includes an image input unit to which an on-site image is input from a camera module; a characteristic information storage unit for storing characteristic information including identification information or location information for the camera module; an object recognition unit for recognizing one or more target objects included in the on-site image using raw data based on artificial intelligence processing; a main processing unit for transmitting request information including information on the first event and the characteristic information to the control server when a first event for recognizing a target object occurs in the object recognition unit; a feedback information receiving unit configured to receive feedback information in response to the request information from the control server when the first event is not a scheduled task or the location information recognized by the target object is not scheduled location information; and an alarm processing unit for outputting a danger signal by driving an alarm means when the feedback information is received.
