Disclosed is a method and apparatus for estimating channel quality in consideration of interference control and cooperative communication in a cellular system. After the base station receives the SRS transmitted by the terminal and measures the received power, the base station sets a CSI process for measuring the SINR for the base station higher than the SRS received power to the terminal, and the terminal sends the channel quality information for the set CSI process to the base station. Upon feedback, the base station determines the SINR and MCS to be applied to data transmission in consideration of the received CQI and CoMP transmission method, and applies them to transmit data.
