The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hair iron cover member that can be less susceptible to damage. A hair iron cover member 1 comprises a hair iron cover member body 10 that is attached to a heating portion 23 of a hair iron 2, wherein a distal end portion 10a3 of the hair iron cover member body 10 is formed into a flat shape with no steps. Therefore, unlike the prior art, since fitting recessed portions and protruding portions to each other is not necessary, the distal end portion 10a3 of the hair iron cover member body 10 can be less likely to be broken.
