The present invention relates to a hierarchical wear part comprising a reinforced part comprising alumina, zirconia or an alumina-zirconia alloy, said reinforced part also comprising centimetric inserts of predefined geometry, said inserts comprising micrometric particles of metal carbides, nitrides, borides or intermetallic compounds bound by a first metal matrix, said inserts being inserted into a reinforcing structure infiltrated by a second metal matrix, the reinforcing structure comprising a periodic alternation of millimeter zones with strong and with a low concentration of micrometric particles of alumina, zirconia or an alumina-zirconia alloy, the second metal matrix being different from the first metal matrix.
