Disclosed in the present invention are an imitation gold decoration film capable of replacing gold foil, and a preparation method. The imitation gold decoration film comprises a base film, and a release agent layer, a first coating layer, an aluminum plated layer, a second coating layer, and a gelatinous layer which are sequentially arranged on the base film; the first coating layer and the second coating layer each are formed by mixing and coating gold paint and an antioxidant. The imitation gold decoration film of the present invention can replace gold foil, has the same golden color and bright luster as the gold foil, and can achieve an equivalent effect; by adding graphene oxide to the paint, the anti-oxidation capability of the imitation golden decoration film is improved, there will be no blackening phenomenon even after long-term use, and good anti-corrosion and waterproof properties are achieved; a paraffin emulsion is used as the material of the release layer, the amount of paraffin applied to the base film is uniform, the film formation is uniform, and the lift-off effect is good; the preparation method is simple, environmentally friendly, and economical, thereby greatly reducing the material cost; a use method is convenient, and is suitable for decoration construction on various occasions.
