PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass work inspection method and a glass work inspection apparatus capable of smoothly inspecting the outer peripheral edge of the glass work. A glass work W has both main surfaces of a front surface W1 and a back surface W2. The inspection method of the glass work W includes a support step for supporting the glass work W, an image information acquisition step for acquiring image information for inspecting the outer peripheral edge of the glass work W, and a determination of the state of the outer peripheral edge of the glass work W. It is provided with a determination step to be performed. In the support step, by supporting at least a part of the outer peripheral end surface of the glass work W and at least a part of the outer peripheral edge portion of the back surface W2 of the glass work W, both main surfaces of the glass work W are in an inclined vertical posture.
