An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for discovering an attraction area from geo-tagged photos and an apparatus for implementing the same. A method of discovering an attraction area from geo-tagged photos according to an embodiment includes: obtaining photo information of each of the geo-tagged photos; obtaining line segments in a view direction of each of the geo-tagged photos with reference to the photo information; generating intersection points where line segments of each of the geo-tagged photos intersect with reference to the photo information; and designating an attraction area by clustering intersections where at least N line segments intersect among the intersections.
