To provide a lighting control system in which delay and missing of control are restrained by making the operation of a master unit appropriate at the time of start-up, thereby reducing the number of communication frames during lighting control.SOLUTION: In a lighting control system 1 including a master unit 3 and one or more slave units 4 to be connected with a lighting apparatus 5, the master unit 3 includes a master unit radio communication part 30 capable of performing radiocommunication with the slave unit 4, a connection processing part 33 executing communication part initialization processing P01 for bringing the master unit radio communication part 30 into a state capable of network connection with the slave unit 4, when the master unit 3 starts up, and initial survival confirmation processing P02 for transmitting a survival confirmation command from the master unit radio communication part 30 to the slave unit 4, and identifying a connection slave unit 4C in network connection with the master unit 3, out of the slave units 4 in response to a survival confirmation response received for the survival confirmation command, and an illumination control part 34 executing illumination control processing P12 for controlling the master unit radio communication part 30 to transmit illumination control data for the lighting apparatus 5 to the connection slave unit 4C after the initial survival confirmation processing P02.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
