An auxiliary electrode 30 is placed on an upper end surface 11a of the respective ceramic compacts 10. The auxiliary electrodes 30 at the portions in contact with the upper end surfaces 11a of the ceramic compacts 10 positioned in two end regions B across a central region A in the direction perpendicular to the direction L for conveying the ceramic compacts 10 are thicker than the auxiliary electrode 30 at the portion in contact with the upper end surface 11a of the ceramic compact 10 positioned in the central region A.
