METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING A LIMESTONE-CARBON DIOXIDE CYCLE IN IRON AND STEEL PRODUCTION

Method and system for the implementation of a lime-carbon dioxide cycle in iron and steel production, which enables carbon dioxide formed in the production process to be removed from the production waste gas using slag by the formation of calcium carbonate and the limestone thus formed back into the iron and steel production process to return. The system comprises: (a) at least one dissolving container (2); (b) at least one filter container (3) with a filter medium, the at least one filter container (3) with the at least one dissolving container (2) through a fluid circuit (15) in (C) a reaction vessel (6) with a jacket heater (7), which is connected downstream of the at least one filter vessel (3); and (d) a tank (11) with a bed of lime granulate (12), which is connected downstream of the reaction vessel (6).
