The one-part toughened epoxy structural adhesive contains a fiber inorganic filler having an aspect ratio ≧ 6. The presence of fiber filler leads to a significant increase in the elastic modulus, while there is little, if any, adverse effect on other properties such as dynamic impact resistance.
